We’ll have $0 adoption fees alongside 150 shelters for California Adopt-a-Pet Day!

Join us this Saturday, June 6 to help our pets find loving homes! We’ll have over 50 kittens available for adoption at Petco and PetSmart, and another 30 or so at the shelter for anyone looking to add a kitten (or two!) to the family. 🐱

Free adoptions will be happening at THREE locations:

📍Front Street Animal Shelter – 2127 Front Street | 12–5 PM
📍Petco – 1878 Arden Way | 12–3 PM
📍PetSmart – 1738 Watt Ave | 12–3 PM

All pets will go home spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions are first come, first served, and standard adoption procedures still apply, including applications, counseling, contracts, and ID checks.

🚨 FINAL PLEA – ADOPTION OR RESCUE COMMITMENT NEEDED BY 6/6/26 @ 5PM 🚨
Shelters are not ideal environments for dogs to thrive long-term. Constant stress causes mental health decline, dogs become reactive or shut down, and medical issues worsen. We are deeply committed to transparency about each dog's needs and doing what's best for their quality of life, even when difficult.

Final Plea gives visibility to dogs whose well-being is declining in our care and who urgently need the structured, calm environments only rescue placement can provide. This is our advocacy effort to save lives by connecting dogs with the specialized support they need. It's our last effort to get them help NOW.

I learned this sweet girl passed away yesterday, November 12th, 2025. Her name was Baretta and I will miss her so much! I used to pet sit her and walk her. I have so many pictures and videos of her. You will furrr-ever be missed! 🌈 ☁️ 🐾🐕‍🦺 🤍 😭💔
