Pets Hide Pain Better Than You Think🤕
Your pet doesn’t have to cry or limp to be in pain. Dogs and cats are incredibly good at hiding discomfort, and sometimes the earliest signs are subtle.
Watch for changes like:
• Sleeping more or acting less playful
• Hesitating to jump, use stairs, or get on furniture
• Changes in appetite or drinking
• Becoming unusually irritable or withdrawn
• Excessive licking of one area
• Changes in grooming habits
• Restlessness or difficulty getting comfortable
• Acting differently when touched or handled
These changes can be easy to chalk up to
“getting older” or just having an off day, but behavior changes can be your pet’s way of telling you something isn’t right.
If something feels different, trust your gut. An exam can help determine whether it’s something minor or something that needs attention.
Because they can’t tell us where it hurts. We have to pay attention to the clues💚
