Last night, the girls from BSNC got together for a flower potting party to celebrate Katrina’s upcoming wedding and her last day with our team today-- a night filled with laughter, memories, and time spent together outside the clinic. We're thankful for the team we've built and the way we continue growing together both personally and professionally.

A special shoutout to Katrina on her last day today as she begins an exciting new chapter next month. We are thankful for all she has brought to our team and wish her nothing but the best ahead! 💙

🌮🐾 𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐨 ‘𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! 🐾🌮

Cinco de Mayo is the perfect time to spice things up… and that includes your pet’s health routine! 🌶️

Just like a good taco needs all the right ingredients, your pet needs a complete prevention plan to stay happy and healthy:

✔️ Vaccinations
✔️ Flea & tick prevention
✔️ Heartworm prevention
✔️ Routine check-ups

Skipping prevention? That’s a hard shell to crack later. 😬 Treatment is often more expensive, stressful, and risky than simply staying ahead of the problem.

So today, let’s taco ‘bout keeping your pets protected all year long! 💛🐶🐱

📞 Give us a call to get your pet on the right plan—because prevention is always worth celebrating! 🎉

Yesterday, our Sabetha and Bern offices had the pleasure of welcoming a group of eighth-grade students from Sabetha Middle School.

Four students spent time shadowing Dr. Jeff DeMint, Dr. Jade Hill, and Registered Veterinary Technician Brianna in our Sabetha office, while two students shadowed Dr. Kurt Detweiler in our Bern office.

During their visit, they observed a variety of appointments, including small animal exams and surgeries, cattle work with cows and calves, and equine appointments.

We always enjoy the opportunity to share our passion for veterinary medicine and give students a glimpse into the field! 🐾

🚨 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞… 𝐔𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞🚨

You won’t see them.
You won’t hear them.
But they can seriously harm your dog.

Heartworms are spread by 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬—and just 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞 is all it takes. 🦟

By the time symptoms show, the damage may already be severe… and treatment can be 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐠.💔

💊 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞.
✔️ Safe
✔️ Effective
✔️ Life-saving

➡️ The best protection? 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝.

🐾 Don’t wait until it’s too late—protect them now.

Happy Friday! Dr. Detweiler started off his morning by delivering a live bull calf out of this feedlot heifer. Owners were worried that she was going to need a c-section, but he managed to get it delivered normally without any complications!

Not all heroes wear capes… some have paws. 💜🐾

Floyd earned his Purple Paw Certificate of Bravery after his eyelid surgery and throughout his continued care with us. He showed incredible strength every step of the way—from procedure day to recovery—and handled it all like a true champ.

Patients like Floyd are exactly why we do what we do. We’re committed to more than just treatment—we’re here for every step of the journey, providing compassionate, personalized care—that’s the level of care you can expect at Bern-Sabetha Veterinary Clinic.

Way to go, Floyd! We’re so proud of you. 💪🐱

Ticks don’t just bite… they can transmit 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 like Lyme, ehrlichiosis, and more. 😟
