PackofGypsy

PackofGypsy Follow the adventures of our pack as we travel around the country. I became a travel hospice nurse in 2015. Of course, I only travel as a pack.

I was concerned with how my pups would adjust to this lifestyle when I first started. Now two years later, I have come to realize my pups adjust quicker and better than I do to change. We now travel in a camper and we have stayed in some great places and each is always dog friendly and I love that they get to be "dogs." We have added a new member to our pack. Bernice is a sweet Black Lab mix we ad

opted from Life is Labs Rescue in Atlanta. Bernie has had a tough start and was critically ill for weeks with Parvo. We are blessed that God helped her through her almost fatal illness and gave her to us! We are going to continue to experience our incredible country! Follow us as we travel!

If you haven’t been introduced to Andrew Cotter, it’s time you come out from under your quarantine rock. He’s the isolation salvation we all never knew we needed. Cotter is the proud (and hilarious) dog dad to Mabel and Olive, two Labradors whose everyday lives have become entertainment for mi...

‼️🐾STRIPE HAS AN IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT 🐾‼️

Hey there friends, its the strong and mighty Stripe, finally checking in! Thanks to everyone who sent me prayers, well wishes, and encouraging words during the scariest time in my little life. And an extra special virtual smooch to each and every one of you who donated!!

As most of you already know, I got SUPER DUPER sick about 2 weeks ago with the icky, deadly parvo virus. I was hospitalized at UGA for 13 days where I received of intensive, life saving care. As you can imagine, lifesaving care from a 24 hour specialty hospital is not cheap... in fact, my bill was $8,500!! But my rescue family assures me that I was worth every cent... I mean, have you seen my cute face?

Anyways, what you may NOT know is that I was one of 17 puppies (YES YOU HEARD RIGHT, 17) that broke with parvo. You see, the real nice peeps here at iWag (fka Life is Labs) saved 5 different litters around the same time from the same rural part of Georgia. This area is near and dear to their heart and also has a serious stray dog problem, which means a serious puppy problem too. Unfortunately, they soon discovered that was not the only problem they had.... there was also a break out of Parvo.

Slowly, each litter started becoming sick, and each puppy (except 2) required days of hospitalization and then weeks of continued intensive care at our medical directors home!

I am happy to report that every. single. puppy that broke with parvo is recovering!! Out of the 17, there are only 4 puppies still being treated. Thanks to many of you who donated to Kristie's fundraiser, we already raised $10,000- covering HALF of the total medical bills.

Tomorrow is , and I would LOVE it if each and every one of our followers and supporters could donate something, no matter how small, towards us kiddos medical bills. Help our rescue family continue to save more lives!!

Thanks again for helping me pull through, and don't forget to click the "Donate" button tomorrow and give a little to the rescue that saved my life

Puppy kisses and tail wags,
-Stripe 🐶🐾
