Somebody needs to come get Nutmeg and love him for the rest of his life! 💕

Nutmeg has the personality of a drunk toddler mixed with a type A perfectionist that realizes he’s actually type B halfway through the project.

He is a very special boy who just happens to only have 3 legs. This goofy tripod doesn’t let that slow him down a bit and can run and jump with the rest of the group!

Nutmeg was previously fostered in a home with both dogs and kids and functions with either, as long as they are old enough to follow his signals. (Good with other cats, too)

This precious demon angel spent a good portion of his life dragging around a healed broken and dislocated back leg. In his head, that means it’ll hurt to be touched on the back half of his body.

Now that he’s had his amputation, he’s living a much more pain free life, but he’ll still let you know that he’d rather be scratched and petted on his face/chin/shoulders than anywhere near his former injury. It’s up to us as humans to respect that until he realizes he can trust us not to hurt him.

Nutmeg is equal parts playful and lazy. You might see him zoom past you or tackling a wand toy, right before he passes out, flipped over and staring at you with his big eyeballs, waiting for chin scritches to fall asleep to.

Campers got to chat with Madalie Short today about the work that Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue- Rutherford County, NC does in the county and how to keep animals safe and work on our overpopulation problem.

🐱 Cool cat summer camp -day three! ❤️

The campers have been working hard to earn the cats trust over the past few days and it really shows

Campers have also become quite proficient at basic Cat care tasks that it takes to be a cat owner

🎨 Today we dabbled with watercolor painting, a lab on cat body language, and of course, more cat bingo!

can’t believe this week is more than halfway over!
