We are still in need of a front end wheelchair. If anyone has one they are willing to donate please drop it off at 545 Laurel Hill Drive in Rutherfordton. It would help this dog so much being able to get around on her own.

🐾‼️JUST ONE WEEK AWAY‼️🐾

It’s that time again to you remind of our Low Cost Rabies Vaccine Clinic to help keep your pets happy, healthy, and protected! Join us on the first Tuesday of every month from 10:00am–4:00pm at 545 Laurel Hill Drive in Rutherfordton, NC. Rabies vaccines are just $5 per shot, and no appointment is needed. Our next clinic is June 2nd, which is exactly 1 week away!

‼️ For everyone’s safety, please remember that all cats and ferrets must be in a carrier, and all dogs must be on a leash. ‼️

If you’re unable to make it on clinic day, we also offer appointments Monday through Saturday from 10:00am–4:00pm for $10 per shot. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please call 828-980-0016, we’re more than happy to help!

📢 Rutherford County Animal Control Services will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

We have done great about not euthanizing healthy, adoptable pets. However, we are once again busting at the seams with dogs. Lives will be lost if we can’t get some dogs moved through adoptions or rescues,

arrived altered: $30
arrived unaltered: $110

Note: In the photo descriptions, “arrived altered” is written in all caps before gender (ex. SPAYED female). Altered by the shelter is written in lower case after gender (ex. female spayed).

These prices cover spay/neuter and core vaccines.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, core vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm tested, flea and heartworm prevention and sometimes more.

All cats are spayed/neutered, core vaccines, flea prevention, dewormed and microchipped (combo tested at request).

Charges to Rescue Groups:
Depending on the organization, some or all fees may be waived. To arrange for vetting, or to be approved to pull, rescues should contact the shelter.

Adoptions and Rescues are first-come, first-serve.
