Starting a NEW hunting store has ALWAYS been a dream of Jon’s! Jon has been a coonhunter for 33 years and loves the sport ans the relationship of a hound & houndsman! So, with our family’s blessing…this year, 2025, we opened SLICK TREE HOUND & HUNT CO LLC! It has been rewarding and challenging at times but one person who has always be there to help, answer any questions and even take on some of our crazy “new product” ideas is Mr. Marty Yoder with Yoder Nylon! Well that’s a wrap for Autumn Oaks 2025 this year! We appreciate everyone who came by and seen us and trusted us with your purchases!
We had an amazing time talking to each one of you! Jon and Hank had an amazing hunt last night in the Grand Nite Class…and even though they didn’t pull out a win…they had a great time treeing Indiana raccoons with some amazing houndsmen!
We hope if any of you are traveling through the great state of Kentucky and happen to come through Russellville…STOP by 805 W. 9th Street and see us at the store!

Last week, we got ask, “Why do y’all love going to coonhunts and events so much?” And I tell them, “That’s where you meet the best people and shoot the bull with your buddies…then to top it off the night…you go hunting with your hound! And it don’t get much better than that!”

The past few days I have gotten to spend time at Autumn Oaks 2025 with my family and some of my best friends, all while meeting new friends!

Special THANK YOU to our friends Hunter, Bethany, Jacob and our daughter, Alivia for helping out today to make sure that our customers next hunt would be a memorable one!
And MOST OF ALL…THANK YOU to EVERYONE who stopped and said HELLO to us or purchased from us! We appreciate you more than you know!

Due to our family attending Autumn Oaks 2025, our store will be CLOSED on Thursday, August 28, 2025 and Friday, August 29, 2025.
The store will be OPEN on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., but with that being said, PLEASE understand that most of our coonhunting hunting equipment and accessories are in Indiana at Autumn Oaks with us. But if you need dog food, clothing or other items, please be sure to stop in and Gary (Jon’s dad) will assist you! Thank you and we greatly appreciate you all!
