Good morning everyone! 😎Today promises to be the hottest we've seen and we want to be extra careful with our fur babies as well as ourselves out there!
Outside activities should be kept to a minimum and if you have pets outside, be sure they have fresh water several times a day and shelter to get out of the sun.
There is a real risk for heat stroke with temperatures like this so we have included an article that explains what to look for, like heavy panting, lethargy and drooling.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to give us a call at 479-968-2255 or reach out on PetDesk.
Stay safe and cool out there!!🔆

Here’s some great information from the AVMA to help keep those fur babies safe during the celebrations!

Fireworks, picnics and other 4th of July traditions can be great fun for people, but frightening and dangerous for animals. Know how to keep your animals safe.

Happy Thursday, everyone! 😎
We want to share some information today on Noise Aversion in Pets.📣
4th of July is creeping up and every year we have a ton of cases of pets being stressed during the fireworks.🎆 We have the tools to help with this!
Products like Sileo are great for keeping those pets calm during stressful or loud events and can really help make your pet feel more comfortable.
We've attached an article from the AAHA so you know the signs to look for in your pets.
If you have any questions or think your pet might benefit from some calming medication, reach out to us on PetDesk or give us a call! 479-968-2255.

🥳The power is back on!

Good morning! There is a power outage in our area and we are currently in the dark! 🔦They have provided us an estimated time of around 1 p.m. before the power is back on. Currently, the phones are working if you need to give us a call but our access to PetDesk and email may be limited. We apologize for any inconvenience and hopefully we will be back up and running soon!💡

🎉ADOPTED!!!🎉

🌟INTRODUCING TOOTSIE🌟 Tootsie (AKA Toot-Toot, Tootie Frutti, Tootsie Roll, etc.) is now looking for her FUR-ever home!
Some of you may have already met her at the office, as she has been dubbed the “clinic dog” for the past few months.
Tootsie was brought to us by a good samaritan after she had been hit by a car and left in the street. She had not one, but TWO broken legs❗️One leg was not able to be saved. The other leg finally healed after a few months of TLC from our girls at Parkway. ❤️ Toot has lived at the office for a couple of months and has recently been staying with one of our staff members so she can experience a home life. 🏠 Here’s what we’ve learned about her: Tootsie is a small girl. She is friendly with other small dogs (bigger dogs scare her a little) and doesn’t mind cats. She likes to pretend cats don’t exist because they’re suspicious to her. 👀 Only having three legs doesn’t slow her down much. She loves to run in the yard! However, she will need help sometimes getting up and down off of furniture. She loves to sleep in the bed and couch cuddles! She loves to chew on a nyla-bone (and sometimes things she isn’t supposed to). She just isn’t quite sure what dog toys are yet. 🦴 Tootsie likes a small circle of friends. We suspect there is some chihuahua hidden in her genes. She can be a little anxious sometimes. She loves her girls at Parkway, but she’s not a super big fan of men. Toot would do well in a home with ladies or a family with a singular man in the home (as long as that man is okay with her maybe not loving him completely). She has not had much experience with children. Most likely, she would do okay with older children who can respect her personal space. 🤍 Of course, she has been given a clean bill of health. We suspect she is around 2-3 years old. She is spayed! She is heartworm negative. She does not have a microchip.
She is up to date on: ✅Rabies ✅Distemper/Parvo/Lepto ✅Bordetella ✅Yearly heartworm prevention ✅Monthly flea/tick medicine ⭐️Tootsie is ready to find someone to earn her trust! We will be picky!
She’s very special to us! Please reach out to our email if you are interested.⭐️ 📥 [email protected]
