Diesel is in need of a home urgently. He just came into the shelter on 6/2 and is already stressed to the max. His adoption fee is FREE and he will go home with a bag of Diamond Dog Food! All adoptions are first come, first serve.

🐾 Meet Diesel 🐾

Diesel is a 4-year-old, 73-pound neutered male German Shepherd looking for a patient and understanding home where he can finally relax and be part of a family.

Diesel has spent his entire life outdoors, so the shelter environment has been overwhelming for him. He’s currently pretty stressed—often pacing and panting—but that’s not unusual for a dog who’s never had the chance to decompress in a home. With time, structure, and consistency, we believe Diesel will start to settle and show his true personality.

🍗 What Diesel Loves:

Canned chicken food is the way to his heart—he can be picky, but chicken wins every time!
Reported to be good with kids
Good with cats

🐕 Dog Compatibility:

Selective and very dominant with other dogs
Will require a proper meet-and-greet with any dogs in the home

🚫 Important Notes:

Diesel has a strong prey drive and is a confirmed to be absolutely no poultry
He will need guidance transitioning from a shelter to a home environment
Exhibits typical German Shepherd traits—loyal, alert, intelligent, and will benefit from structure and leadership

Diesel is going to need a committed adopter who understands the breed and is willing to give him the time and patience he deserves. He may not be perfect, but he’s worth the effort for the right person.

💔 A Special Post for a Very Special Group of Girls 💔

We are asking for your help for three sweet souls—Callie, Millie, and Momma—who recently lost the person they loved most, their mom, Becky Sharpe.

Their world has been turned completely upside down. After losing Becky, they now find themselves in a new and unfamiliar place, confused and scared in their temporary home at the shelter. As older girls, this transition has been especially hard on them.

Each of their photos shares a little more about their individual personalities, but what they all share is a need for comfort, patience, and a loving home to help them feel safe again.

In honor of Becky and the love and devotion she had for her girls, their adoption fees have been waived—they are FREE to approved homes.

They do not have to be adopted together, but if someone is able to open their heart and home to more than one, we know it would mean the world to them during this difficult time.

Please consider giving these deserving girls the second chance they need. Let’s honor Becky’s memory by helping her beloved companions find peace and love again. 💛
