Code Blue K9 sadly report the loss of one of our own. A medical emergency took place during their shift last night and K9 Bronco, a loyal partner to Deputy Sorenson, crossed over the rainbow bridge. Our deepest condolences go to Derek, his family and the Officers who worked alongside them.

Congrats to the newest four-legged officer, K-9 Murph, who worked his first shift today, Monday, November 3! K-9 Murph and his handler, Officer Ben Lien, recently completed their training and certification in Rushford, Minnesota, with Code Blue K9 LLC. on Wednesday, October 29.

K-9 Murph is certified to detect multiple controlled substances, including methamphetamine, co***ne, he**in, crack co***ne, black tar he**in and fentanyl. He’s also trained in tracking, area and building searches and criminal apprehension.

🚓🐾 Today, Chief Pizzano and Lt. Grimes made the drive up to Winona, MN, for a very special reason.

Steve and Jane, owners of OZ Lifting Products LLC, presented a generous donation that will allow the Pleasant Hill Police Department to purchase a new K9 and provide all the necessary training for its handler.

Also pictured is Trace with Code Blue K9 LLC., who will be leading the training for both the officer and the dog.

We are truly grateful for the support of partners like OZ Lifting Products LLC, who make programs like this possible. This donation will go a long way in helping us better serve and protect the citizens of Pleasant Hill. 💙
