From one of our rescue contacts:

Ellie is an Australian Cattle Dog mix (blue heeler) and is a sweet senior that was going to be euthanized because her owner was sick and going into the hospital. Animal Care Clinic of Rural Hall contacted me because they knew that I rescue and foster for local rescues in the area. Ellie has been with me for a few weeks and is doing great! She is good with dogs once she has been slowly introduced. She loves walks, toys, playing, and food. Ellie walks good on leash, rides well in the car, and has an amazing amount of energy for a senior girl.
Ellie is potty trained, loves snuggling with her people or her dog friends, and just wants to be loved. Ellie will do best in an adult only home. She likes to jump up which can be overwhelming for kids.
Ellie is also diabetic. She has had recent blood work, does amazingly well with her shots, and is otherwise healthy. I didn't think I could give shots, but hey, I can do it and so can you!
I need to find Ellie a wonderful permanent home. I have six dogs and as I mentioned, I foster a lot of dogs. I need room for the next one that needs help. She really is a good girl.

Our office will be CLOSED on Friday July 4th for the holiday. We will re-open on Monday at normal operating hours.

Jasper says, suns out tongues out! It’s no secret how HOT 🥵 it’s been this week. Keep your pets cool by planning walks and outside time for early morning and late evening. Provide shade, water and A/C during the heat of the day. Stay COOL out there this summer!
