A few weeks ago, we shared the story of three dogs in Atlanta, Georgia, whose owner is sadly battling terminal cancer. We’re so happy to share that all three are now safe in our rescue. ❤️

Athena and Luna, two beautiful Belgian Malinois, made their way down to us last week. On Monday, they’ll visit the vet for checkups and to schedule their spay appointments. If all goes smoothly, these sweet girls will soon be available for adoption!

Right now, they’re enjoying life in South Florida with one of our amazing fosters—settling in, starting training sessions, and soaking up the love they deserve. 🌴🐾

We hadn’t planned on taking in new rescues, but we felt compelled to step in and help this woman and her beloved dogs. If you’re able, we would deeply appreciate your support with their veterinary expenses.

💙 Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue to say “yes” when dogs like Athena and Luna need us most.

Happy Gotcha Day, Monday!

Two years ago, we made the trek from West Palm Beach to Orlando to welcome five dogs. One of them was Maverick (now Monday), a misunderstood Golden.

When we bring our Goldens in from overseas, we do our very best to share everything we know about them so they can fit comfortably into their forever homes. But sometimes, things don’t work out right away. Maverick went to training with Kelsey at , and once he completed his program, we shared him across all our social media channels.

Then came Lauren—and the rest is history. ❤️

Thank you for taking a chance on Monday and for giving him the best life ever.

🏡 Gaston now Donnie has been ADOPTED

It takes a special person to rescue, but an even more special one to adopt a dog who has been through trauma. While we may never know what Gaston experienced in his past, we quickly learned some of his dislikes and made sure to share them with his new adopters.

We’re happy to say that Gaston—now Donnie—is officially home. Thank you to everyone who inquired about him. It truly was a journey to find the perfect fit, and we couldn’t be happier for him. ❤️🐾

Help Needed – Foster, Foster to Adopt or Adopter for BaiBai

Due to the demands of her current foster’s job, BaiBai urgently needs a new home with someone who can be present.

This sweet girl has never really learned how to be a dog. She is terrified of the leash, still has accidents in the house and even in the crate despite being let out, and needs patience and consistency to help her learn.

The good news? She is incredibly sweet and very dog-friendly. But her current foster has reached her limit—she simply doesn’t have the time or resources that BaiBai requires.

If you are ready to take on a true rescue challenge and help transform this girl’s life, please contact us. Without a foster or adopter, BaiBai will have no choice but to return to her original owner (who may not be able to keep her due to health issues), or she will end up in a shelter.

At this time BaiBai is not spayed or vaccinated as we have been trying to find that helps non profits. She is currently in Georgia.

Fosters truly save lives. If you can help, please reach out right away:

🐾 Meet Gaston – Ready for Adoption!

We rescued sweet Gaston from our county shelter, saving him from an uncertain fate. Since then, he’s been thriving in a loving foster home. While we don’t know much about his past, it’s clear that life wasn’t always kind to him. What we do know is that he is an incredibly sweet, playful, and affectionate boy who just wants love.

✨ About Gaston:
• Estimated 3–4 years young
• Breed: unknown (our best mystery mix!)
• Dog-friendly – LOVES to play with other pups
• Potty & crate trained
• Enjoys baths but still warming up to grooming
• Best in a home with another dog as a companion
• Would love a fenced yard to run and play
• Neutered & up to date on shots

💛 Gaston adores playing all day and then curling up next to his foster for snuggles. He’s not a fan of sudden movements or having his paws touched, so he’ll need a gentle, patient adopter who understands his needs. He’s not a “bad dog”—he’s just been dealt a tough hand and deserves someone who will give him the kindness he’s always longed for.

📲 If you’re interested in giving Gaston the forever home he deserves, please text 561-818-8120.

Home check, references, and adoption donation apply.

🐾 Gaston is ready to bring joy, love, and tail wags to his new family—could it be you?

Pupdate: BaiBai’s Journey

We recently received heartbreaking news from BaiBai’s owner, Sherri, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. After everything she has endured, her doctors have sadly shared that there is nothing more they can do. Before her time comes, Sherri’s greatest concern was ensuring that her three beloved dogs would be safe and cared for. She reached out to us, and together we began working on a plan. With fosters secured, all three dogs are now under the care of our rescue.

BaiBai was the first to transition. Thanks to Lauren’s patience and gentle care, after an hour and a half of coaxing with treats and a soft hand, BaiBai was safely transported to her foster home in Georgia. Following a much-needed bath and spa day, she has started to relax and is slowly settling into her new environment.

BaiBai will need to be spayed and receive a full veterinary workup in Georgia. While these medical expenses were not planned in our budget, we could not turn her away. This is where we humbly ask for your support. If you would like to make a donation in honor of BaiBai, you may do so through the following options:
• Zelle: [email protected] (Best option, no fees)
• Venmo: venmo.com/u/mywhyrescue
• PayPal: paypal.me/mywhyrescue

Or by mail:

We will be welcoming Sherri’s other two Mals into our care within the next two weeks, also in Georgia. Please keep Sherri in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time, and hold your own fur babies a little tighter tonight. While nothing can ease the weight of her journey, we hope she finds comfort in knowing that her dogs are safe, loved, and cared for.

Peanut 🥜 now Baby Girl ADOPTED

Happy to report this sweet pup has been ADOPTED 🏡. We aren’t sure why she was returned to us other than they stated she was pooping and peeing all throughout the house. The foster that she has been with since they returned her to us has stated Peanut hasn’t done any of that. So, we truly don’t know what happened there.

All we do know is Peanut has become a foster fail by her foster Devin. We are absolutely over the moon that this sweet pup will never have to worry again- She has found her forever home.

Happy tails sweet girl-

We say it all the time- Fostering Saves Lives 🐾

** FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT NEEDED **

We are securing a flight towards the end of September but need a foster to help. If you can help open your home until we can help get him adopted, please contact us-

Oooh sweet Walter- Your life is about to change for the good and you’ll see all humans are not bad. You’ll see there is plenty of love, food, water, snuggles, pets and more to go around. It’s ok to share too because you won’t be starving or have to worry about drinking dirty water.

🐾 Meet Walter – A Gentle Soul Learning to Trust Again

Walter is a quiet, thoughtful boy who’s been through more than any dog should. Since being abandoned by his previous owner, he’s been feeling insecure and unsure of the world — and who could blame him?

He can be food-protective and may growl when meeting new people, but it’s simply his way of expressing fear, not aggression. Walter is not a bad dog — he’s a hurt dog who needs time, patience, and someone willing to help him heal.

Since moving into foster care, he’s already made big progress. With a stable environment, he’s beginning to feel safer, and we’re confident that, with understanding, consistent care, and the right training, he will continue to grow into the loving companion he was always meant to be.

Walter isn’t perfect — but he’s incredibly worth it. 💛
He is estimated to be 7-9 years young. ***

We have committed to these three beautiful Goldens. Your donations will help them heal, and get them on their road to the USA. We love doing these rescues but it’s a lot of behind the scenes to get them here. We can’t help save more unless people help donate to our cause.

We get this question asked a lot- well how much is needed? We wish we could put a cap on it but the reality is there are so many dogs that need help. The more we raise, the more we are able to save.

One of our transporters clients has an aggressive form of cancer- She does not want to surrender her dogs to a shelter. They are located in Georgia and will offer free transport if we can find a foster- or better yet an adopter. Sadly the owner does not have much time.

🐾 Gaston
📍 Boynton Beach, FL

🐾 We rescued Gaston from PBCACC a few weeks ago. Since then he’s decompressed, been neutered and had a much needed bath. We tried to get him with a nice groom to tame his fur but we realized he’s not a fan of loud noises. The groomer was only able to bathe him.

🐾 We are searching for his forever home. A home that is semi quiet, has dogs, and loving. Gaston enjoys sitting on the fosters lap, sleeping on the bed and playing with her dogs. With cats, he’s unsure and thinks they are there for him to chase. He’s not aggressive, just wants to play.

🐾 Gaston is estimated to be around 3-4 years young, he is potty and crate trained, enjoys going on walks, likes being with his foster doesn’t seem to have any separation anxiety.

🐾 If you have any questions regarding Gaston, please contact us.

🐾 Meet and greets available but we do check references, home visits and an adoption donation fee applies ***
