It’s with great sadness that we announce the departure of our trainer Makenna. She is switching careers, and heading into the technology industry!

We do not have any candidates at this time to replace Makenna, but we’re still looking.

If you still have private lessons that you need to complete, please contact us to get those scheduled by the end of October.

Wendell went to a park today to celebrate the end of his program! The trip started off with a tough test. We ran into a trigger stacking incident right away.

Trigger stacking occurs when multiple triggers present themselves back to back which doesn’t allow time in between for the dog to calm back down. Wendell handled this situation very well! Although he did still load up and the trainer lost some engagement, he was able to keep reaction down and recovered quickly. We are very proud of how far Wendell has come with his training!

Day Train Wendell took a field trip to Home Depot today! It was fairly busy and there were lots of loud noises, so Wendell was very nervous upon arrival. However, we were able to get through the entire store with no reactions! When we got home, Wendell had some time to decompress outside with trainer dog Zuko. Wendell was able to hangout off muzzle, and even practiced his off leash heel.

Wendell took a trip to Premier Pet Supply! He did very well with the added distractions of new people in a public space.

Day train Wendell is making friends! We worked on building Wendell’s confidence around dogs with trainer dog Zuko. He has seen Zuko throughout his training program, but today we tackled walking next to him! Wendell did very well walking with his new friend, and was able to be comfortable enough to sniff him with no reactions. Great job buddy!

Day Train Wendell is making big strides! Wendell is working with us because of his reactivity; he’s reactive with new people, cars, dogs, pretty much anything new in his environment. Today we were able to walk by cars and stationary dogs, and he did very well. We are super proud of you Wendell!

Day train Wendell is continuing to work on his foundation skills this week. We are very excited to already be seeing some improvement in his engagement with the trainer and ability to ignore distractions!

Refresh Willow got to work off leash on her heel position! She had trainer dogs as distractions, and did very well staying focused. We also took a trip to Home Depot and she did amazing keeping her leash loose and focusing on the trainer.

Wendell started his DayTrain day pretty fiery today. Once settled in, Wendell was able to calm down and work well with the trainer throughout the day. We are working on our basic foundation skills to work on building confidence and establishing a relationship with the trainer. We can’t wait to see what this boy accomplishes during the program with us!

We’d like to welcome Wendell into our DayTrain program! He’s here to work on his reactivity towards anything new. Wendel...

We’d like to welcome Wendell into our DayTrain program! He’s here to work on his reactivity towards anything new. Wendell is reactive to dogs, people, cars, and anything else new in his environment. We are going to help work getting control around distractions and his basic obedience while building a better relationship with his owners.
