Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July!
From all of us at Handy Andy, we hope your day is filled with good food, great company, and safe celebrations. 🇺🇸🔧🎆
Stay safe and enjoy the holiday!

Fun Fact:
The Declaration of Independence wasn’t actually signed on July 4th! Most delegates didn’t sign it until August 2nd, 1776. July 4th is the day the final wording was approved — and the day we celebrate with BBQ and fireworks! 🇺🇸

🛁 Grab Bars Galore!
Started off with installing grab bars in a tiled shower. Drilling through tile isn’t exactly a walk in the park—requires fresh drill bits, a steady hand, and the patience of a monk. But totally worth it for that added safety. Honestly, why aren’t these standard in every bathroom?

🌬️ Privacy Screens vs. Windy Reality
Next up—these sleek metal privacy screens looked fantastic after the homeowner assembled them… until the wind came knocking. We came in to anchor them straight into concrete so they’d stop taking unplanned naps. Now they offer the perfect combo of shade and privacy and stay standing tall!

🚿 Still More Grab Bars!
Can’t say it enough—slippery showers don’t discriminate! Everyone deserves a little extra support. These installs were clean, sturdy, and might just be our favorite unsung heroes of bathroom safety.

🧰 Garage Cubby Upgrade
Finally, we turned an overlooked garage nook into a smart storage space with a new shelf. Keeps the clutter off the ground and the car happy with its elbow room.

Another week of upgrades that add both function and peace of mind!

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who taught us how to swing a hammer (even if it was at their thumb first).

From fixing things to being the rock of the family—cheers to you!

A little variety in the toolbox this week!

✅ Swapped out some old exterior coach lights for new ones—easier bulb changes and way better curb appeal. The front of the house is now lit like it means business.

🖼️ Mounted several pictures around a home, including this beauty overlooking the waterfront. (Honestly, this one made me pause and stare for a second… or five.)

🕹️ And for something totally different—a local business had us assemble a mini claw machine. Yep, the claw game. Fun fact: these things have a setting to adjust how strong the claw grips… so yes, they can be rigged! 😆 Don’t worry, this business is using their power for good. Unlike your childhood arcade. 🎯 (Thanks Hotdog Marketing!)

Another week, another round of making homes smarter, cooler, and just a bit more awesome! Mounted some TVs and shelves (yes, level AND secure!), added a security light/camera above the garage (because raccoons don’t need free rent), and installed enough fans to rival a Beyoncé concert. On a roll here!! 😊

Today, we pause our tools and quiet our hustle to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

At Handy Andy, we’re deeply grateful for the heroes who gave everything so we could live, work, and raise our families in peace.

Let us never forget that our everyday freedoms were built on the courage and selflessness of those who served.

🛠️ From our crew to your family — we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Hope everyone’s staying cool out there—we’re hitting record-setting temps this week (100°+!)
Meanwhile, we’ve been staying busy with some interesting jobs lately:
-Bathroom baseboard upgrade: The original wood baseboards had taken a beating from years of shower moisture. We replaced them with PVC boards that won’t rot, swell, or warp. Honestly, this should be standard in every bathroom!
-Sink rescue mission: A client’s sink was detaching from the countertop. What started as a simple job turned into an excavation—had to remove the RO system and disposal just to reach the underside. Installed new horizontal supports rated for 600 lbs. (Please don’t test that with your adult child in the sink—just saying.)
-Security camera install: Hardwired a camera above a garage. Great way to monitor deliveries, keep an eye on your driveway, and have peace of mind. Definitely something I recommend.
-Stuck tub diverter: Tried to fix it the easy way, but it was too far gone. Had to cut it out—some of these are surprisingly stubborn. New diverter went in perfectly. Now the shower or tub is good to go again!

Let me know if something around your home could use a fix—stay cool and hydrated out there!

This Mother’s Day, we honor the true original fixers.
Long before we picked up our first wrench, Mom was patching, mending, and making things work—with love, creativity, and a whole lot of patience.

To the mothers who taught us the value of hard work, resourcefulness, and doing things right the first time: THANK YOU!

And yes, pink tools are just as powerful—just like the women who use them. 😃

Happy Sunday, folks! Hope you’re kicking back and relaxing. Here’s a quick peek at some projects from the week:
• Swapped out some can lights for pendant lights—instant cozy vibes! I always hang them just above eye level so you can chat without a lampshade in your face.
-Installed cabinet hardware (yes, my favorite task—who knew?). It’s a simple upgrade that makes your kitchen look sharp and your drawers easier to open. Win-win!
-Mounted a ceiling fan. Pro tip: If your fan doesn’t come with a remote, you can grab a universal remote kit—no need to replace the whole thing.
-Hung some artwork. Hanging pictures is easy… getting them perfectly lined up? That’s where the laser level earns its keep.

Let me know if you need help with any projects—big or small!

It’s Saturday, and the tools are (mostly) down!
Here’s what we tackled this week—because homes don’t fix themselves (yet):
-Trim drama: The old wood trim around these columns was falling apart like a bad relationship. We replaced it with PVC (because it doesn’t rot or ghost you) and gave it a fresh coat of paint. Now it’s looking sharp and sticking around for the long haul!
-Faucet & disposal upgrade: The faucet called it quits, and the disposal was leaking like it knew a secret. No fixing that mess—we ripped ‘em out and gave this kitchen a fresh start with new, leak-free parts. Trust issues? Solved.
-Cabinet hardware magic: The simplest way to upgrade your kitchen without emptying your wallet! Installed some sleek hardware that’s both functional and fashionable. If your cabinets are still naked, we should talk.
-Picture perfect upgrades: Hung some artwork (straight, not crooked—level is life), ditched a builder-grade mirror that was giving “meh,” and installed a faucet that actually matches the new vibe. Small upgrades, big glow-up!

Got a to-do list that’s judging you every time you walk by?
Let’s knock it out—one project at a time. Message me to get on the schedule before it fills up!

Well no more April fools…until next year 😆
Couple more jobs to share!
-Tankless flush! It’s important to flush your tankless water heaters! These things are expensive to repair, so basic maintenance prevents you from having to deal with those repairs. Tankless life expectancy is 30 years, so take care of that investment 😃.
-Dryer vent clean, this one had a legit clog at the exit! All that lint was preventing the flow of air! Cleaned the rest of the ducting as well, but this image shows the culprit.
-Cabinet hardware! You know I love doing these! Really loved the black hardware on the white cabinets. Love that contrast!
-Lastly… called to do a dryer vent clean. The final blowout didn’t show any flow. This isn’t part of a normal clean, but I went up in the attic, removed the ducting to show that the installer literally folded the vent on itself preventing flow 🤦‍♂️. I cut it open and reinstalled. Now clothes are getting dry now…FINALLY!
