Whip up a simple, dog safe recipe so your pup can enjoy the holiday feast too! đŚ
Simply cook your turkey using your preferred method: boil, bake, or steam, then add it to the recipe above!
Feeding Guidance:
Food toppers should not exceed 10% of your dogâs daily caloric intake to avoid unbalancing their complete diet.
⢠For a 20 kg (44 lb) adult dog with a maintenance need of around 850 kcal/day, thatâs about 85 kcal max from toppers, including treats.
⢠Adjust topper size proportionally to your dog's size and daily energy requirement.
General Tip for All Recipes: When boiling ingredients like turkey or sweet potato, save a small amount of the cooking water and mix it back into the topper during mashing. This water holds valuable nutrients that leach out during cooking and helps create a smoother, more flavorful blend your dog will love.
Why These Ingredients: Turkey is lean protein, low in fat, and iron-rich. Pumpkin is fiber-rich and soothes digestion. Flaxseed provides ALA and soluble fiber. Turmeric helps with inflammation in small, safe amounts.
Note on Picky Eaters:
Just like us, dogs have preferences. Small breeds especially may be picky with flavor, texture, or smell. Try a small portion test before making a full batch.
