Notice some discoloration on the fur around your pup's eyes? Those are likely tear stains - and they can be a natural occurrence for dogs. To reduce tear staining:

▶ Gently wipe around your dog's eyes and mouth with a warm, damp cloth daily
▶ Commercial wipes are available. They can be spendy, but they can also be effective in reducing the amount of staining.
▶ Try giving your dog filtered water instead of tap water, as the minerals in tap water can sometimes increase the amount of staining.
▶ Regular grooming and trimming can help reduce the visible staining.
▶ Keep the area around the eye as dry as you can.
▶ As always, contact your local veterinarian if you have questions!

These hot weather temps are still sticking around 🥵 Remember, it's never safe to just 'crack the windows'!

It's a hot weekend here in Minnesota! Please remember that "cracking the windows" and parking in the shade doesn't do enough to keep your dog cool in a hot car. Never leave your pets in a car during weather like this, even if it's only for a few minutes.

Don't forget - HDCCK is closed for both grooming and kenneling. I am recovering from surgery and hope to come back in September when my doctor gives me the all clear.

Thank you for your support and patience as I heal!

Thank you to all of my clients who have booked ahead of my scheduled surgery! My schedule is now totally full, and I will no longer be accepting new appointments until after I have healed from my July surgery.

I will be back as soon as my doctor gives the all clear! I am hopeful this will be in September, so please give me a call to inquire in September about scheduling again!
