Sundancer's Trail

This one has been around a long time.

Sundancer was a rescue back in the early 90s. When he was finally safe to trail ride, he loved this trail. It didn't matter which direction we were coming or going, if we were passing this trail it was almost all you could do to keep him from turning down this path.

It was the first of many trails to be named for one of the horses. It is appropriate it was named for the horse we had the longest.

Prince came to us as a untouched 8 year old. He was halter broke - barely.

Much time, effort, and hard work went into making Prince the reliable trail string boy he became. It took several years of patience and constancy to help him become the best he could at his new home.

That was over 15 years ago.

Prince gradually won over most campers, guests and retreaters to be one of the favorites!

But Prince's time as a full time trail horse has come to a close.

Prince now happily lives out his days as a babysitter and confidence builder to a 6 year old girl.

He is spoiled rotten and living out his best days making a little cowgirl's dreams come true.

Yesterday was his birthday and I think this year just might be his happiest yet!

Happy Birthday old man! Enjoy retirement. You've earned it!
