4th of July Pet Safety Tips! 🎆🐾

As we gear up to celebrate Independence Day, don’t forget to keep your furry family members safe and comfortable! Fireworks, parties, and summer fun can pose risks for pets. Here’s how you can help protect them:

✅ Keep pets indoors — Even pets who are normally calm may become frightened by loud noises and try to escape.

✅ Create a safe space — Set up a quiet, cozy area where your pet can feel secure. Play calming music or turn on the TV to help mask fireworks sounds.

✅ Check ID tags and microchips — Make sure your pet’s identification is up-to-date in case they slip out.

✅ Refill or request anxiety medications early — If your pet needs medication to stay calm during fireworks, contact us ahead of time so we can help!

✅ Avoid sharing party food — Many BBQ favorites (like onions, grapes, chocolate, and alcohol) are toxic to pets.

✅ Watch for heat stress — Make sure your pet has plenty of fresh water and a cool place to rest.

💙 If your pet experiences anxiety or if you have concerns, give us a call — we’re here to help! 575-623-9191

Wishing you and your pets a safe and happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸🎇

🎉🐾 Celebrating Over 35 Years of AAHA Accreditation! 🐾🎉

We’re proud to share a milestone that means the world to us—and to the pets and people we serve.

For over 35 years, our clinic has been AAHA-accredited, meeting the highest standards in veterinary medicine. Only 12–15% of animal hospitals in the U.S. and Canada earn this accreditation, and we’ve maintained it through decades of compassionate care, continuous improvement, and dedication to excellence.

💉 That means up-to-date protocols
🩺 Gold-standard medicine
🐕 Compassionate, skilled staff
🐈 A commitment to your pet’s well-being, every step of the way

Thank you to our incredible team, loyal clients, and every furry (or feathered or scaled!) friend who has walked through our doors. Here's to continuing our legacy of excellence in veterinary care.

💛 Here’s to many more years of caring for your pets like family.

Happy Memorial Day from CCAH! 🐾

On this Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave men, women, and military working dogs who have served our country with courage and dedication.

From protecting our freedoms to providing companionship in the toughest moments, these heroes—both human and canine—have sacrificed so much. Their legacy lives on, and today, we salute their service.

🐶 Did you know? Military dogs have been vital in detecting explosives, guarding troops, and saving lives on the battlefield. Their loyalty and bravery make them true warriors in their own right.

As we gather with family, friends, and pets today, let’s take a moment to reflect on their sacrifices and express our gratitude.

Thank you to all who have served—whether on two legs or four. ❤️🐾

🐾 A Critical Update on Distemper Protection for Your Pets 🐾

We want to share an important message to keep your furry family members safe 🦴💉

✔️ The Distemper Vaccine: The vaccine we currently administer is the most effective way to protect your pets against the current strain of distemper. We STRONGLY encourage a booster if your pet hasn’t received one in the past 3 months—this applies even if their annual vaccine isn’t yet due. Don’t wait, vaccinate!

✔️ Trust Your Veterinarian: It’s imperative that these vaccines are administered at a trusted veterinary clinic. Over-the-counter vaccines from livestock or pet stores may lack the necessary effectiveness and proper protocol, putting your pet at risk.

✔️ Our Commitment to Safety: At our clinic, the health and safety of your pets is our top priority. We follow strict and thorough cleaning protocols and handle every case with the utmost care.

Distemper cases are being treated across all clinics in Roswell, and we’re here to provide the care and support your pets need to stay healthy and happy. ❤️🐶 Together, we can make a difference in keeping your pets safe!

📞 Call us to schedule your pet’s booster or ask any questions. We’re always here for you!

🐾 Important Announcement: Protect Your Pets! 🐾

In light of the recent distemper cases, we want to reassure you that the distemper-parvo vaccine we administer is the most effective option to cover the America 3 distemper virus currently being seen. This has been confirmed by both an epidemiologist and the DVM consultant of our vaccine provider.

Our clinic has also collaborated with Purdue University labs to identify the strain affecting dogs that have tested positive.

👉 We strongly recommend: If your dog hasn’t received a distemper-parvo booster in the last 3 months, even if their vaccinations are up-to-date, it’s crucial to schedule a booster shot to enhance your dog's immune response for their protection.

Let’s work together to keep our beloved pets safe and help bring this under control! 🐶❤️

📞 Call us today at 575-623-9191 to schedule your dog’s booster appointment.

Thank you for your dedication to your pets' health and safety!
