We are a non-profit animal shelter, located in Roswell, NM--the UFO Capital of the World! We take in thousands of animals every year. We house stray animals and re-home pets given up by owners, that are placed in our care. We are NOT a no-kill shelter, but we keep our pets as long as humanly possible. We are a limited entry shelter. We have to adopt pets befo

re we bring in any new pets. We vaccinate all pets for basic vaccines, although we do not vaccinate for Rabies. Our adoptions fees are:

All pet adoption fees are $50 (which helps to reimburse us for vaccinations and medical care, while in our care)

ADOPTERS ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO PRE-PAY FOR THE PET'S SPAY/NEUTER AT A ROSWELL VET (to be performed before being released to the adopter's home-no exceptions). Make sure to mention that you are adopting a pet from us, so you may receive a discount on the surgery! We take the adopted pet to your vet for the surgery, and you may pick up your new pet from the vet, after the surgery is completed. ADOPTION GUIDELINES:

All dogs must have fenced yards(appropriate for that size dog), and we DO check. All cats adopted must be strickly indoor cats. All pets (even young pups/kits) are spayed or neutered before going into their new home, no exceptions. If you have other dogs, you must bring your other pets to have a meet & greet here at the kennels. We are not funded by any city, county, state, or federal entity. We are totally funded by donations

Subject: Lacey’s forever family story

My name is Lacey. I found my forever family last August & I felt at home right away. My family says I am so sweet & loving, super smart(I'm 90% potty trained but hey, I'm still just a baby). I have an older brother & we play & wrestle & steal each other's chew toys, which is good because I have lots of energy. I'm great with kids too. I love to snuggle at the end of the day & when my family says it's bedtime I stroll into my little corral & curl up in my kennel bed & settle in for the night. I bark a couple of times during the night to make sure they know I'm here, but most nights (early mornings if I'm honest) I curl up & go back to sleep. I eat well (I LOVE to eat.) My coat is really soft & I do not shed.(BONUS!) I have 4 siblings & 1 of them has been lucky & blessed, like me, to have found his forever family too. Wherever he is I'm sure he’s as happy as I am. My family tells me every day, ALL the time (big eye roll with attitude,) how much they love me & my big brother & how blessed they've been adding us to their family. I really hope & pray that my 2 sisters and brother find their forever families very soon. So, if you're looking for a smart, lovable & playful fur baby like me, please go visit my brother and sisters. PS. Ignore the blue bow on my head. Mom made me wear that….for about a second. LOL Thank you for reading my story.

Four year old Shadow is still believing in her dream of a forever home. She has been with us longer than any of our dogs, and her resilience is truly inspiring. Shadow is a wonderful girl with so much personality. She would thrive in a home where she could go for walks or runs but also would enjoy downtime with her future family.

Niko has been with us since October 2024!! He’s a shining star, waiting for a forever home where he’ll be cherished! He’s already neutered and was housetrained when he came to us, so we know he’ll quickly recall his potty training! Will you consider adopting Niko?
