I’m looking for the perfect pup to be my canvas for a Spring Creative Groom that will be entered into a contest! 🎨🐩

What I’m looking for:
• A dog with a “blank canvas” coat (light/clean coat works best)
• A pup who is patient and comfortable with grooming
• An owner who is open to creativity and trusts the process 💕

Doodles are adorable, fluffy, and full of personality… but let’s be real, they are high maintenance coats 🐶✨

That soft, curly/wavy hair doesn’t just stay cute on its own. Without regular upkeep, doodle coats can quickly become matted, which is uncomfortable for your pup and often leads to having to go much shorter than planned.

To keep your doodle looking and feeling their best, we recommend grooming every 4–8 weeks depending on the length you want to maintain. Regular appointments help:
• Prevent painful matting
• Keep the coat clean and healthy
• Maintain that fluffy, teddy bear look
• Make brushing at home much easier

💡 Pro tip: The longer the coat, the more frequent the grooming (and brushing!) needed.

We love our doodle clients, but they definitely require commitment when it comes to coat care! Staying on a consistent schedule keeps your pup happy, comfortable, and looking their absolute best.

Double-coated breeds (like Huskies, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, and more) have a unique coat designed to protect and regulate their body temperature year-round.

That thick undercoat? It sheds A LOT—and if it isn’t properly maintained, it can quickly become impacted, leading to discomfort, overheating, and even skin issues.

✨ Regular grooming helps by:
• Removing loose undercoat safely
• Preventing painful matting and trapped debris
• Allowing proper airflow to the skin
• Keeping your pup cooler in the warmer months
• Reducing excessive shedding at home

🚫 Important Reminder:
Shaving a double coat can actually do more harm than good. It can damage the coat’s natural ability to regulate temperature and may not grow back the same.

As we head into our busiest season, we kindly ask all clients to be mindful of appointment times. We are currently booked out, and late arrivals or missed appointments make it difficult to accommodate everyone needing services.

To help ensure your pet always has a spot, we highly recommend rebooking your next appointment at pickup or setting up a recurring schedule (4-8 weeks). This is the best way to guarantee availability, especially as we move into an even busier time of year.

Please note that beginning in June, there will be some price adjustments. We want to give everyone plenty of notice. Clients on a weekly, bi-weekly, or 3-week schedule will not see a price change.

🧡 Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡
We are so incredibly thankful for every one of our four-legged clients and the wonderful families who trust us with their babies. Your support means the world to us, and we are grateful for each of you this holiday season.

We will be closed until December 2nd as we take some much-needed rest and special time with our families. During this break, responses to messages may be delayed, but we promise to get back to everyone as soon as we return.
