Daja is one of our longest residents having been pulled from a high kill shelter in January of 2024. She is also our senior girl at around 7 years old. She does not know she is a senior, though. This girl is as playful and rough and tumble as if she were a young girl. lol
Daja is looking for her perfect person! She wants someone to spend her days lounging around, going for rides and pup cups, and taking walks. These are amongst her favorite things to do. She does still get the zoomies from time to time, so watch out for those!! Daja would do great with a truck driver where she could ride all the time. She loves it!! You do have to help her in and out due to her short little legs. Daja would do best as an only dog as she loves her person so much that she does not like to share. She wants you all to herself!! She walks great on a leash and is very leash responsive. She is not reactive with anything on the leash as long as they do not invade her space!! Daja loves just about everyone she meets and has a special love for men. She is not a fan of children. Once you meet her, you are sure to fall in love just as we have. This girl will be your best friend!! She needs a home to spend the rest of her life knowing how much she is loved!! She deserves this much.

We have received a lot of inquiries lately from people who have found dogs or people who are wanting to surrender their pet.
The unfortunate truth of the matter is that we are bursting at the seems!!
We have some great dogs available, some that have grown up with us 😒 simply due to being overlooked. They are great young dogs!!!
Until we are able to find homes for these deserving souls or we can find some amazing foster homes,
WE ARE CLOSED FOR INTAKES.
Please don't be offended if we don't respond to your request for surrender as we are concentrating on finding homes for the ones we have in hopes that we can open back up for intakes soon.

Roo is our last remaining puppy from the " Winnie the Pooh " litter. She is just as deserving of an amazing home as her siblings ❤️.
Roo has been overlooked because she is a black puppy 😒. If you take the opportunity to look past her color, you will see that Roo is an amazing girl!! She is smart and playful and just wants to be with you. Roo will stay right by your side off leash and come running when she sees you!! Her enthusiasm for life is contagious!!!

Our sweet little Astrid, our special little deaf girl, got adopted Saturday at our adoption event!!! Her new family was driving by and saw her and had to stop!! It literally was love at first sight!!! They are a Catahoula family and she is in the best home we could ask for!! Congratulations sweet girl!!

Our sweet boy, Piglet, has made it to his new Mom!!! Thank you to our very own, Kelly Hardin for driving him halfway to Maine to meet her!!!
She has been excited to meet him and it shows now that she has him!!!
