Little Paws of Mount Vernon is happy to announce we are now working with Dr. Meghann Jerden, The Traveling Vet. We are going to be starting a low cost spay and neuter program targeted towards cats for Jefferson County residents and surrounding area’s.
This has been our director’s goal from the very start of the rescue. She has stated many times that we can rescue all day long, but if we don’t get to the heart of the matter with affordable spay/neuter resources, we will never make a difference.
As we have said in the past, if you can find a veterinarian with lower prices, that’s fantastic and this program may not be for you. This is simply another option/opportunity to get your cat fixed at a low cost and hopefully sooner than you may have available to you.
Our prices will be $100 for a male or female. You will receive a rabies vaccine and free pain meds with our clinic. Females will have $40 refundable deposit. This is to cover extra materials used if they are in heat or pregnant. If the female is not in heat or pregnant, the deposit will be returned to you. We will be requiring the cats are indicated as altered in some way, with an ear tip, tattoo, or a microchip. The ear tip and tattoo options are free. A microchip is $25. We will have different package options for the fix that will include vaccines and other additional add-on’s.
You can find the application on our website under low-cost clinic or you can fill it out directly here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScBklZqSUBllLa1dzbbOdw41BJ_KQsrgovxTSihhqomOP0srA/viewform?usp=sf_link
After signing up, someone from our team will contact you about payment and how this program works for day of.
If you currently don’t need a cat/kitten fixed, you can donate to help us accrue funds to keep this clinic running for low cost services.
