This amazing mare is going to her new home Saturday! We started calling her Sunny and the new owner also liked the name and decided to keep it.

Today she went to the vet for her coggins and yearly vaccinations so she can go to her new barn.

I have loved working with this mare, she was picked up by hoofs rescue as a humane case and wasn’t even halter broke. In a short time she has learned to trust people and enjoy their company. Sunny has been so easy to work with, she really has a great mind. She’s leaving as green broke with only 2 rides on her but I have no doubt that her and her new owner are going to accomplish amazing things together!

Saying good bye is going to be hard but I know she will never be in a bad situation again. ❤️

My first client of 2022 is here!

This beautiful young mare will be here till she’s adopted! That’s right she will be available after spending some time with me. HOOFS Rescue and I believe she’s turning 4 this spring. No full body pics yet because it started raining and getting dark on us.

I will need some name ideas for this beautiful young lady, so comment bellow what you think we should name her! ❤️

Day 3.
Everglade had her first saddling and her first ride today! This mustang is absolutely amazing!

Day 3 with Everglade. She had no issue with excepting a saddle and rider today. This mare is absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to see how far we can go!

She is no longer tag #4091 she is now know as........ (read on to learn her name)

I wasn’t going to post her name till I took her tag off and I thought it would take me a lot longer than it did. (They didn’t halter then at the storefront)

So today I went to the storefront to pick out my mustang. I looked in the first pen and saw some pretty colors but nothing that really spoke to me. Went over to the second pen and the first thing I see is her bright eyes looking right at me. I looked at the rest but I kept looking at her. Almost every time I looked at her she was looking back at me. While the rest of the mustangs were to skiddish to look she was giving curious looks.

So time to load up. The first mustang was a bit difficult to load so made me a wee bit nervous. Backed up the trailer and got all the panels ready. They ran her into a stall to prepare to load. When they opened the gate they weren’t ready to chase her in. We were gonna give her a second to sniff around. Well she jumped in the trailer and was ready to go. We got the door shut without a fight. She trailered really well.

Got home and unloaded and within 30 minutes I had already gotten her trust enough to slip the halter on and off her nose. I decided to go ahead and put it on and see how that went. She was amazing, gave a few small fights and locked her legs a few times but within 40 min I had her leading pretty well.

I took her tag off, which didn’t bother her a bit, and officially gave her the name Everglade!

Troub had his first ride the other day. This is how first rides should go. He hasn’t been here long but he has come so far in such a short time. Hopefully the ground dries up fast so I can get back to working him.

This is troubadour! He is a 4 (soon to be 5) year old gelding.

Troub hasn’t been started at all and is quite skittish. He has been here since Saturday and has taken the saddle twice, done tons of ground work and a lot of desensitized.

He is doing absolutely amazing. It’s always nice to get a fresh clean slate to work with.

Arlos first day with the saddle, being mounted and desensitizing. Diesel is in for training and was getting some desensitizing while I was at it. They both did amazing. Hopefully I can get a harness and get Arlo pulling soon. Good day for both boys! Super proud of my mule!
