Beginning December 1, 2025, peacock stirrups (also referred to as hook-and-loop stirrups) will no longer be permitted at USEF-sanctioned events. This follows a similar decision by United States Pony Club, which banned the stirrups as of January 1, 2025.

Originally designed to release in the event of a fall, these stirrups have unfortunately been linked to serious rider injuries. In several cases, the exposed hook has caught riders during dismounts, resulting in torn clothing, lacerations, and in some cases, long-term or permanent injury.

In line with these safety-driven rule changes, Tried Equestrian will no longer accept peacock stirrups for consignment moving forward.

Rest in peace sweet Tulip 🌷

Gallod Ffantasi 2002-2025

After spending a lifetime dreaming of owning the dam of Willowbrand Ffairn, moms special riding mare, the dream was finally realized in 2020 when Tulip came to reside here with us at Eden Orchards Welsh. Tulip quickly became a staple member of the family, acting as Audrey’s new riding pony, after the tragic loss of her beloved friend in February of 2019 when our barn collapsed with 21 animals inside.

Tulip has no shortage of accolades, with an extensive show and performance career, her brave spirit was ever apparent.

Tulip gave us 2 foals during her time with us, 2021 filly, Eden Orchards Fflirtatious, and 2023 filly, Eden Orchards Ffashionista.
