One year later… still best buddies! 🐾
Ranger and Riley visited Dr. Cutting yesterday, and their owners shared the sweetest comparison from last year when they were just babies. We love seeing how much these handsome beagle boys have grown!

As summer approaches and grasses begin to dry out, check your yards for any of these nasty things: Fox Tails. This is becoming the most dangerous time for your pets. Not just dogs and cats, but all animals, including YOURSELF. When one of these is lodged in the skin, it can only move one way...forward. They can cause lots of damage, including death. They can also cause YOU a very expensive vet or doctor bill. If you see them in your yard, chop them down, pull them up, or just get rid of them as soon as possible!

Harmful algae blooms can be extremely dangerous for pets—especially dogs who love to swim, splash, or drink from lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams.

If the water looks suspicious, stay out. Thick green foam, pea-green or blue-green water, mats on the surface, or bright green clumps can all be warning signs.

Exposure can cause serious illness very quickly, so it’s safest to keep pets away from questionable water and offer fresh drinking water instead.

When in doubt, stay out!

·
It's Arthritis Awareness Month. Just like humans, pets can develop arthritis, too. Arthritis is a chronic degenerative joint disease that causes pain, stiffness, and mobility challenges. Older pets are more likely to develop arthritis due to the effects of aging. Excess weight puts additional stress on joints, increasing the risk of arthritis. If your pet has achy joints and shows reduced mobility, ask your veterinarian about pain management options.
