🐾 June is National Adopt a Cat Month! 🐾

Every June, National Adopt a Cat Month shines a spotlight on the countless cats and kittens in shelters awaiting loving homes. This initiative, started by the American Humane Association in 1974, aims to encourage more people to consider adopting a feline friend, especially during the peak of "kitten season" when shelters see a surge in cat populations .

Here in Roseburg, Saving Grace Humane Society is dedicated to providing shelter, veterinary care, and adoption services for homeless animals in Douglas County. Located at 450 Old Del Rio Rd, they have many wonderful cats and kittens waiting to meet their forever families. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday, from 12 PM to 7 PM.

Each adoption includes spay/neuter, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccinations, ensuring your new feline companion is healthy and ready to join your home .

I've seen quite a few of dogs walking in the hottest parts of the day during this hot weather. They have no protection for their paws. Remember your dog's paws.
