yes I have gloves, but I feel more secure hands on with them. Don’t worry, these aren’t marks from aggression.. just big lizard snuggles come with big claws and I have easily marked skin😂

I wanted to take a moment to address the tragic incident we had take place last month.

It seems like a nightmare that came true to know someone trusted would do such a cruel and senseless act.

First off, thank you to our community. From showing up to look, donating, bringing supplies, sharing our story and checking in, It was a trumendous help. Huge shout out to Ragin’ Reptiles and Soul 2 Soul animal rescue for the heaters, dumpster trailer, snacks to keep fueled, and more. Another huge shout out to every community member that got hands on and dug through brush, climbed trees, some even catching posion oak to find the animals alive.

At this time we presume our baby Savannah monitor to be deceased. Sammy was a loved and treasured baby that we were all eager to watch grow.

Herb the hermanns tortoise is also still missing but could still be out there in the Oregon summer weather.

Leo our uromastyx is still alive but is permanently disabled from the injuries and is on hospice care.

Jesse Proffitt walks free until July where we might see 1 animal abuse and 1 theft charge on the endangerment and attempted murder of 11 animals.

We are still recovering financially from having to close to search, vet bills, and clean up efforts as we tore my entire hillside to recover the 9 we did find and had/have lots of brush to dispose of. If you are able to donate to help our rescue recover and prep for an amazing summer we would be so grateful. Thank you all for your support.

Thank you to those who have donated in the last few days. You have no idea how impactful every amount is to our facility. Fingers crossed we find our babies tomorrow.

We plan on being in full operation facility wise by this coming Thursday.

We look forward to seeing your lovely faces and assist in our reptile world!

While I will never give up, we are hoping for one more big push tomorrow.

If I can get people here, a for sure thing we can have a trailer on site to load debris into as we clear the side of the hill for the last of the animals.. it’s not fun clearing brush but there isn’t much time left.

Who can stop by tomorrow and help us look one last big shot at finding the rest?
