Everyone meet Jax! He started rehab because his owner noticed he was slowing down due to arthritis. She was unable to get him in the truck to do one of their favorite things…run errands together! Today with some practice and some modifications, Jax got in the truck! Him and his owner are both very happy to have one of their normal activities back!! Check out the newest pup to join the Kelsey’s K9 Pack! Since Theo’s back surgery, his legs aren’t working very well. We came up with a plan to promote healing and improve his function. I will share an update in a few weeks with the rehab techniques I am using to help this boy!

while I am enjoying the beach for the week, I put Paisley in charge of answering messages and emails! But, if I know Paisley (and I think I do 😅), she might get distracted by treats and belly rubs!!

meet Stella!! I treated her when she was just a puppy and was injured after a dog attacked her. Now I am treating her for a partial cruciate tear and the soreness in her back and other legs due to compensating. She is still just as cute, funny and food motivated as she used to be! Stay tuned for videos of Stella working hard in rehab!

Here are two dogs using the same piece of FitPaws equipment in two very different ways.

Harley is weak in his back legs so the peanut is used to support him and help him stand. Diago is a young, healthy dog so the peanut provides more of a challenge to his balance and back legs when his front legs are placed on it.

The equipment used for therapeutic exercises is very versatile, but it is important to pick the right piece of equipment and use it the right way for each and every dog!
