As we begin this new year, we celebrate the life of a Dogo that has touched everyone who has ever been a part of the La Historia Team. In his 15th year on earth Tajamar de La Historia said goodnight for the last time. I don’t usually do the eulogy type posts, but he deserves at least that. Born with our friends Lucas Granja from a collaboration of ours. Son of Berrinche de Los Medanos and Chiruza de Los Quilmes. He is father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grand father to some of our favorite Dogos in our bloodline. It’s scary sometimes, to line breed and in breed, because until a dog gives it’s very last drop of life to this world, you can’t be sure that the decision to do so was the best thing. Well Taj( what we called him), proved our decisions to be so right. The headshot that I posted a couple weeks back is a female that has him a few times in her pedigree. His descendants have had success in the field and the show ring. His oldest son CH Bruno de la Historia has his own list of accomplishments, none of which possible without Taj. He lived with me until he was almost a year old, he spent time with Sieron and sired a litter with his female Mariela(sister of Pirata de La Historia), he lived with our friend Jimmy Dodgen, our friend Dennis and spent the rest of his life with Gary in Arkansas. He hunted and bred, and when he couldn’t do that anymore he just loved Gary.
I couldn’t have asked for a better dog to have lived to 15 years old. Some pictures to commemorate his life. He will live forever through his descendants.
