Good afternoon,

I'm usually very upbeat and light in these letters to you, but today I need to be frank. We are in serious trouble. We have way too many animals and a shortage of staff. We have approximately 200 cats and dogs being cared for by only 6 part time staff. People just don't want to work or do the type of work we have to do. Our shelter literally stinks despite our best efforts. We try to keep up on laundry, but with the amount of dogs and cats, it's nearly impossible. We need your help and we need it bad!

GET THE WORD OUT! Pick a dog on our website and market the heck out of them. Make them your special project until they are adopted out of the shelter. Tell your family, friends, neighbors, mailman, beautician, anyone you talk to. You want more information on the dog, ask me. I will get it for you. You want to take the dog out for a day. Absolutely! Let the world see our precious pups. Save a life today!

THE LITTLE THINGS MATTER! WE need laundry and dish help more than you know. We have over 100 dogs that means over 200 dishes to wash each day. It's overwhelming just thinking about it, but if you just wash for 30 minutes that's 30 minutes a dog's kennel gets cleaner. We still want you to do the fun stuff, like walking the dogs, but can you give a hand and do a load or 2 of laundry. That's over 100 blankets, towels, beds, and toys washed each day. A lot, I know!

Please, if everyone could pitch in during this hard time, it would mean the world to me and these amazing animals. We couldn't do this without you!
