⚠️⚠️***LIVE FEEDING WARNING***⚠️⚠️ TODAY — MAY 15TH 2020, 6 MONTHS AFTER RESUCUING MOMO, SHE FINALLY IS EATING!!!!!! We are OVER THE MOON! We have spent countless weeks and months trying to bring her back to health after having pneumonia and an upper RI, numerous vet visits, so many baths and after the second bath, she pooped for the first time since we had her! Great sign, we tried to feed her shortly after but she still refused.
We took her back to the vet after hearing signs of the RI again, and recently she's been doing SO MUCH BETTER and now she has finally decided to eat! 😭😭😭❤❤❤ PREVIOUS POST — FEB. 2020
November 21, 2019 — the night that we rescued Momo from her horrible environment. The night we brought a bigger Ball Python home who was in need of some extreme TLC... when I was told there was a snake in need of a good home, I immediately reached out. I knew she needed me and I am so happy we were able to nurse her back to health... when we got her, she was breathing raspy and bubbles formed around her mouth. A clear sign something was not right! I called the vet the very next day and we got the diagnosis that not only did she have an upper respiratory infection, but she also had pneumonia! A snake.... who had pneumonia? I never knew this was a thing... Well for the next few weeks, every 3 days, we took Momo to the Vet for a shot (yes, snakes receive shots too...). After the 8th shot, she was doing way better. Her breathing was less raspy, no more bubbles and over time, she became more active. We were so grateful to All Pets Animal Hospital for the TLC they provided to Momo and the fact that they were always loving and excited to see her made it that much better!
