We primarily breed for our kids' 4H projects. MGR Fainter Goats, NPGA Pygmy Goats

Busy Sunday on the farm!

*Sorted Oberhasli into breeding pen
*Received horse back from care lease
*Caught a myotonic buck that’s been eluding me for weeks.
*Welcomed back a maiden doe for breeding services
*AIed a myotonic goat on our farm! First time.
*Dropped 4wheeler off for maintenance
*Continually put 3 recently weaned oberhasli doelings back in their pen. Fencing is a mere suggestion for these three. They may end up as milking yearlings next year.

Next week, we’ll be focused on getting the pygmies ready for breeding.

We took 2 of our Permanent Grand Champion goats to the MGR Nationals this year: PGCH La Chevre d'Or Mon Precieux and PGCH La Chevre d'Or Tauriel. Congratulations to all the wonderful, well deserving goats in the national lineups!

And with diesel prices the way they are, these two gals gladly rode to KY in luxury in my minivan. Some ppl have asked what my drive is like from MD to KY. Well, it's lots and lots of trees & mountains! Very long, but very pretty.
