✏️ Let’s back to school shop for the shelter animals!
We are hosting a back to school themed shelter drive for Franklin County Animal Shelter. Let’s fill shelter shelves instead of backpacks!
🐶 Why this shelter: A volunteer from Franklin County Animal Shelter has been a loyal follower for a while. She cared for Pinky when he was there, as well as the other staff and volunteers. She has networked to save animals in need from Justice for Max, such as Kona. She and many others dedicate countless hours of their time to maintain no-kill status. They were full and urgent a few weeks ago and she jumped into action and got dogs pulled to safety. She ensured we had an officer that would fight for the hoarding case and made sure safety was there for the cats and dogs seized from the hoarding case. This shelter is so nice, well-kept and the animals are very loved and cared for.
Now, it’s our turn to help them.
🐱 How you can help: I’ve set up two wishlists. Amazon does not carry dog chow, for some reason. I’ve set up an Amazon list for the majority of items and a Walmart list for dog chow and a couple other things. I made sure there is something for every budget. Of course, food is always a top need for cats and dogs. They run out of food very quickly. However, enrichment is also important to keep the animals mentally stimulated and happy. I’ve included treats, dog toys and cat toys. They have a community room for some cats and have included things for that space (cat trees, window bird feeders, beds, bigger toys, etc). I’ve even included a pool and some water toys for the dogs to play outside! Everything will ship directly to them.
