Lacing has been finished. It’s amazing how much lace a braid consumes. This is a relatively light braid (not very intricate) and still ate up nearly 40ft of lace to complete. The more intricate your braid is, the more lace you’ll use. There are a few “tweaks” to this bag that I’ll make as well as loom up a mohair shoulder strap for it before it heads to New Mexico.

Practice makes perfect. So they say🤨lol. It is intimidating enough to do repairs on work my dad has done especially when it comes to carving! I let out a sigh of relief after the last cut on this slobber strap just to flip it over while edging and find a knife cut across the back!🤦🏼‍♂️ Second attempt I think came out just as nice though. (I did inspect the back of the hide this time!)
