Sure feels good to be able to help people save hundreds on dental cleaning for their dogs.
While it’s a case to case scenario, meaning I can’t do every dog- it depends on on the severity and temperament of the dog, I’m usually able to help at least some if not a full cleaning without putting a dog under anesthesia.
I use a combination of tactics learned at multiple clinics and hospitals over 5 years. This isn’t something your average groomer can offer- but I’m not your average groomer. I’m an experienced vet tech with dental experience and knowledge that allows me to know when it’s safe or not safe for me to do this for your dog. I don’t pull teeth- though if the teeth are completely rotted and fall out after cleaning the plaque off that was holding them in place, I will let you know.
I use a fear free technique giving your dogs lots of breaks and making sure they aren’t too stressed or painful. I have a variety of dental tools and products that allow me to do this safely while also killing the bad bacteria in their mouth.
What do I recommend for owners to use at home for dental hygiene?
COCONUT OIL IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!
Putting a tsp of this in their food daily (or better yet- brushing their teeth with this or an enzymatic toothpaste) will help collect and pull bacteria and toxins from their mouth.
Dental bones, Tru Dog Dental Gel, and dental water additives are also helpful in breaking down that plaque and tartar.
