If a tree falls and no one is around, does it make a sound? 🌳 YES! and we heard them! There are a couple of trees down at Searls dog park and 1 at Olson dog park. All of our team members are aware and will be addressing them as soon as they can! We thank everyone for their patience and thank you all for being a part of our Canine Corners Community! 🐾🐾

PLAN AHEAD SUNDAY: IRONMAN 70.3 Rockford returns this Sunday, bringing 2,300 athletes from 30 states and 19 countries to our community, including 170 athletes from the Rockford area and 95 from the City of Rockford.

Race activities begin at 7 a.m. and include:

Swim - Athletes will start in the Rock River near the Rock Men.

Bike - Participants will travel from downtown Rockford west along State Street, through portions of Winnebago County and Rockton, before returning downtown.

Run - The course winds through downtown Rockford and along both sides of the river, finishing on the 100 block of South Main Street.

Something to keep in mind as you're out and about this weekend.

HEY ROCKFORD! IRONMAN 70.3 Rockford is this Sunday, June 14, and it will have a significant impact on traffic throughout the city.

If you live, work, attend church, or have plans in any of the areas shown on the map below, be sure to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

PRO TIP 1: The routes highlighted in green on the map are your best options for getting across town. In many cases, using Auburn Street, Morgan Street, or Illinois Route 251 will be much faster than waiting for roads or lanes to reopen.

PRO TIP 2: Download the free Waze app before race day. Waze provides real-time traffic updates and can help drivers navigate around closures and congestion throughout the event.
