Please meet our July Pet of the Month, Sunny Jim!! 🐶🥰
Sunny Jim's nicknames are Sunny or Sun Dog (Ryan's grandma often calls him Bunny, accidentally but adorable)
His favorite toys are his stuffed unicorns!
His favorite treats are oranges & apples... well, he'll eat anything right now due to Prednisone!
He can roll over & dance and do a handful of other tricks. He's quirky as can be: he jumps up to pick and eat crabapples and recently realized he can pick raspberries all by himself. He doesn't like to swim, but paces back & forth in a little water, pulls out lake weeds and sticks and sets them on shore.
His Sunshine can light up a room. He can sense sad or hard emotions before we even notice we're feeling them and always offers a comforting paw or much needed snuggle.
Sunny Jim is also part of the Dog Aging Project, across multiple universities studying how dogs age in order to understand how we humans age. Any dog can join, it's super easy to participate and I highly recommend it! https://dogagingproject.org/
