🐾❤️ Do you actually know how much deprivation it costs to be a breeder? A true breeder in the betterment of the breed. We are not talking I gotta dog you got a dog let’s witness the beauty of birth….
Being a breeder is not all about cute puppy photos and pride in beautiful dogs.
It is also a huge sea of abandonment - silent and often invisible to outsiders.
🕰️ Time? There is no such thing as "free".
Weekends, trips, vacations -it’s often very difficult to organize. . Even a few hours away is a luxury.
You don't go to the movies when newborns are in the litter box.
You don't sleep soundly when a pregnant dog is restless.
You don't leave the breeding box when a puppy is fighting for survival.
Breeding doesn't have a break - every minute counts here.
💸 Money ? A never ending investment.
💰 Good dogs come with a price – and it's high.
💰 Health tests, exhibitions, travel, food, supplement, veterinary services, medication, supplies - it all costs thousands.
💰 Income? Sometimes no one is there. Sometimes all that remains is an empty account – or even debt.
💔 Emotions? Patience is learned. And you learn to endure pain.
➡️ When a puppy dies in your hands - and you can't do anything else.
➡️ When, despite all efforts, a dog does not carry her puppies.
➡️ When you have to cancel someone who "just wants a dog" - because you feel it wouldn't be a good home.
➡️ When you give everything - and reap rejection, envy or slander in return.
👩 ⚕️ Routine? It doesn't exist. You're not just a breeder, you're also:
🩺 Nurse
🍼 Nursing mother
📦 Logistician
📷 Photographer
Cleaning force
🧠 Psychologist
💬 Contact person - often over the years
👨 👩 👧 👦 family & friends ? This gets tough at times.
- "We can't meet, my dog is having her puppies. “
- "I'm not coming - the little ones have diarrhea, I have to stay with them." “
- "No, I'm not giving her up - that's my responsibility. “
Not everyone understands this. And not everyone stays.
❤️ But in spite of everything - love remains.
The love for animals, for their life, for their development.
Love that makes you get up ten times a night.
The love that stops you from taking short cuts.
The love that exhausts you but makes you happy at the same time - seeing how healthy your little ones grow up.
🐶 A breeder is not a "puppy salesman".
A breeder is someone who subordinates his own comfort to the welfare of the animals.
Love does not count on money.
The one who lives between happiness and pain – and yet would not trade his life for anyone else.
❤️ Respect passionate breeders. They give it their all every day - even when hardly anyone sees it. ❤️ We never made a dime breeding…the amount of 350-800. Over more than 34 years barely covered genetic testing. It is a passion to treat Gods creations with respect and compassion. Doing all in ones power to empower the breed not create a market for substandard replica’s of the breed but genuine bred to standard, health and temperament quality and trained for each family waiting. No one could afford a Hyer Luv if we even just charged the cost of stud fees, travel to stud, dna health testing and vet cost, let alone specialty vitamins, feed and time.

Saw a girl make a post here the other day about how not everyone can be a dog groomer. Loved what she wrote and it insipired me to make one of my own 😊

It’s important to find the right groomer for your dog, because grooming isn’t just about baths and haircuts. It’s so much more.

Dog grooming is treating every dog as a soul — because they are.

Dog grooming is being an advocate for their health. Owners see their dogs every day, and sometimes they miss the subtle changes — a lump under the skin, a shift in weight, a sore spot they’ve been hiding. Groomers notice.

Dog grooming is talking to and reassuring those scared pups as if they were children — because in many ways, they are. They depend on you to be kind, calm, and patient when the world feels big and loud.

Dog grooming is earning trust over time — sometimes months, sometimes years — to help a single dog feel safe in your care. It’s celebrating the little victories: the first time they let you trim their nails without a fuss, or rest their head on your shoulder instead of flinching.

Dog grooming is setting your own emotions aside when you walk into the salon. Dogs are sponges. If you’re stressed, they feel it — and they’ll carry that stress with them on the table.

Dog grooming is going home with an aching back because you bathed a nervous pup on the floor instead of forcing them into a tub they weren’t ready for.

It’s trimming around arthritic joints slowly, gently, because you know it hurts — and you care.

It’s adjusting your comfort to meet theirs — always.

It’s risking a bite because the dog is scared or reactive, and still speaking to them with compassion instead of frustration.

It’s forming bonds with dogs that run deeper than most people realize. They may not live in your home, but they live in your heart.

It’s grieving with their owners when they pass — because they were a part of your world, too.

Dog grooming is dirty, exhausting, physical, emotional, unpredictable — and absolutely beautiful.

It is love in its purest form.

This isn’t just my job.
This is my heart.
This is my life.
This is what I was meant to do. ❤️ This is wonderful, and exactly why I put over 30 years into the industry. People think you pick up clippers and just cut the hair off. I have thousands of dollars wrapped up in equipment, seminars and time. It isnt an overnight thing, you never quit learning. And you need worlds of compassion and patience. But the rewards are endless. Miss you all deeply!

As fireworks illuminate the skies each Fourth of July, the explosions that delight humans can cause chaos for the nation’s animals.
