One month ago on this day a devastating Tornado hit western Kentucky, killing 78 and forever changing the lives of thousands. Seeing the footage and hearing the stories of the lives uprooted just before the holidays left me compelled. As an artist I wanted to help out in my own way. This sculpture was carved from ash with those affected in mind. Like and Share this post and your name will be entered to win this one of a kind piece. Quaking Aspen cuts like butter, and is known to grow up tall and fast then fall over. The name quaking comes from the quaking sound the hard jagged leaves make when the wind blows. If you're looking to try wood sculpture and don't want to break your back shoving a chainsaw through a rock hard piece of wood, try to locate some of this stuff. It is readily available and easy to carve.

All these taproom tables and benches were a nice big project for a little guy like me. They are made from southern yellow pine, conditioned and stained, finished with polyurethane. Cleaned out a few hardware stores for all that black pipe lol. The crew is making fast progress on the brewery/taproom at Outerbelt. It won't be long!😁
