Get Ready, Set, Train!
We are so excited about the start of our first annual Summer Training Course! Here is some key information for you and what to expect before your first day!
1) What to bring with you:
Please bring the following items with you! The items in BOLD are only for day one! :
- Copy of Vet Records
- Snack bag of your pet's kibble
- 6ft Leash
- Your dog's favorite treat
- A blanket/mat for your pet if they prefer not to lay on the concrete
- Note pad for notes if you like to take them
- A busy activity for your pup if they struggle with patience! (i.e Kong, Bone, etc.)
2) Where you're going and how to get here! :
We are holding our training sessions at 26613 Big Pine Road, Rockbridge, OH 43149! We are a few minutes before Conkles Hollow! You may or may not have phone service on your way here so be sure to download your google maps! In case the GPS attempts to sabotage your training activities by stopping your car at our field, please keep going around the corner and turn up the white concrete driveway with a dumpster and firewood for sale at the bottom! There is a large log cabin at the top!
3) What to expect on day one! :
- Please arrive a few minutes early if possible
- You will receive your training gear, official schedule, and first resource guide.
- You will fill out any remaining paperwork.
- If you paid a deposit only, you will complete payment.
- You and your pup will get acclimated with the space and we will learn about working your dog in a space with other dogs!
- We will start on focus commands and building a working relationship with your pup!
- Expect all sessions to be roughly one hour. If you have questions feel free to let me know. I will also be available after class as well.
