We are so excited to welcome Dr. Ariel Culupa to our clinic! She earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in January, 2026. She completed her clinical year at Texas A&M University with a focus on equine medicine.

Originally from Vermont, Dr. Culupa is well-accustomed to cold climates, though she is still adjusting to the Wyoming wind! Outside the clinic, she enjoys crafting, horseback riding, and exploring National and State Parks. She shares a home with her fiancé Zack, their pothound Rosie, their chihuahua Darwin, and their two cats, Ava and Guinevere.

Her professional interests include emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery, public health, and community-focused veterinary work. She is excited and grateful to join the Rock Springs community and looks forward to meeting everyone and being a part of their pet’s healthcare plan.

⚠️IMPORTANT EHV NOTICE FOR OUR CLIENTS AND ALL HORSE OWNERS⚠️

There is an active Equine Herpesvirus (EHV) outbreak, traced to recent events in Texas and Oklahoma.

As a clinic, we’re stressing increased biosecurity and vigilance to all clients. If your horse attended ANY recent large events, particularly those in OK or TX:
• Isolate the horse for 14 days upon arrival home.
• Mandatory twice-daily temperature checks, watching for spikes over 101.5.
• Strictly enforce disinfection protocols for hands, clothing, and equipment.

🏥 We will be implementing following hospital protocols to help keep everyone safe…

1. “Stay on the Trailer” Policy for Suspect Cases
If you are worried about EHV exposure or your horse has a fever (T>101.5):
• Do NOT unload your horse when you arrive at the clinic.

2. When you call to schedule, our staff will ask:
• “Has your horse been to any large show in the last 14 days?”
• “Has your horse been acting normal at home?”
• “Has your horse experienced cough, nasal discharge, lethargy, etc. within the last 14 days?”

*Please be patient with these questions, they are in place to protect your horses and everyone else’s.

If you suspect EHV exposure, please call us before hauling in, and remember:
✅ Take temperatures twice daily
🚫Do NOT unload if you’re concerned, we will come to your trailer

Good morning from Mountainaire Animal Clinic! We wanted to jump on here and let our clients know that our parking lot will be under construction starting tomorrow Wednesday the 27th until Thursday the 28th! Below is a picture of available parking.

Wednesday we ask that you park in the yellow colored area.
Thursday we ask that you park in the blue colored area.

If you have a horse trailer, camper or semi truck please park on the dirt road in front of the clinic but close enough to the side that we don’t block other oncoming traffic.

We appreciate your understanding and working with us while we fix our parking lot! Thank you and have a wonderful Tuesday!
