Update on the dog rescued from the house fire! Huge shout out to all who helped! Consider donating to this families Go Fund Me.

We are Galena Animal Clinic located in Galena, Maryland, and recently had the pleasure of meeting "Laney" a sweet female bloodhound. Unfortunately, when Laney came to see us, it was not under the most fortunate of events. On July 8th, the place Laney calls home was struck by lightning while Laney was alone in her home. The home was completely destroyed and deemed unlivable. Luckily, there were multiple emergency responders that were there to save this sweet pups life. Laney fortunately was not burned in the fire, however, suffered from severe smoke inhalation and needed further medical attention. When she came in, she was very lethargic, not eating or drinking, had difficulty breathing from all the fumes and soot she inhaled. We kept her over night, performed multiple treatments for smoke inhalation. Currently, Laney seems to be well on her way to a full recovery.
