If you have not noticed, we are trying everything we can to get the cats and kittens at the Catfe, in foster, and TNR adopted. We have reduced adoption fees for many, have sponsors for a dozen or so, and still our numbers are down across the board.

I pulled a quarterly report a few days ago to compare and we are down 42% from this time frame all other years we have been open, but our expenses are three times greater. We do not have the visits, adoptions, and events selling out anymore and without that, we can’t support the rent, food, litter, and the unexpected and variable vet care that is probably going to be the end of the cat cafe and rescue sooner than later.

So we are open for visits and willing to schedule meet and greets after hours for approved adopters. Getting the cats into homes is our top priority always and with so many cats and kittens on the streets and shelters overflowing, we are even struggling to find homes for the “free” cats we ended up with from the 54 Cat Crisis.

So if you or anyone you know is looking to adopt, please send them our way.

We still do home and vet checks and have criteria necessary for adopting, that has not changed, but getting our cats into homes is something we need help with. Visits help pay the rent and provide all their needs. Adoption fees as well. Without that, we will not be able to survive much longer.

Please consider a Catfe Kitty or TNR cat if you’re looking to adopt. The TNR cats have been in our care for over a month now and we have had to vet quite a few of them under the Catfe due to diarrhea, eye issue, antibiotic needs, etc, Some are on expensive prescription food and probiotics, all paid by the rescue. I can’t let a cat suffer in need of medical care just because they aren’t a Catfe cat.

It’s been a lot this year. $19k in attorney fees and not even close to done, Bruno. He’s been a lot the past year a half. Dogs are so much more costly than cats and poor Bruno had Parvo, seizures, monthly visits, Neurology appointments, daily meds, lots of follow up, now surgery today. The cats at the Catfe. Gary and his monthly visits. Bubba and his eye surgeries. Kelly and her eye removal. 4 FIP cats needing meds at the same time, 2 amputations, Gizmo’s PU surgery, Lil Bit’s pyometra, Butterscotch, Penny, Baby, Ozzy Blue, Delilah, just to name a few.

So if you or someone you know is looking to adopt, please mention us to them. Come visit, do yoga, paint, enjoy a movie, all in support of the cats.
