Meet Rosita 🌹

Rosita is a soft, gentle soul who's just beginning to blossom from being in our quiet room to now hanging out in our bigger main room. She's shy at first, taking her time to observe the world with those curious eyes and the longest, most beautiful whiskers you've ever seen. Once she feels safe, her sweet nature shines. She absolutely adores gentle petting and quietly follows her favorite people around for affection. Feather wand toys and tunnels are her happy place-especially when there's someone she trusts to play with her.

Rosita is still learning to feel comfortable in bigger spaces, so she'll need a patient, understanding family that can give her time to adjust at her own pace. She is a bit afraid of some other cats where they may tend to pick on her, so therefore she would do best as your one and only kitty. But dogs and young kiddos? Not really her scene. If you have a quiet home and a big heart, Rosita is ready to give you all the love she's been saving up.

Meet Mavis ❤️

Meet Mavis, a feisty little queen with a big voice and personality. She's had a rough go in life, and it's made her cautious-especially when it comes to people and other animals. But beneath that spicy exterior is a cat who's slowly learning that not everyone is out to hurt her. She's discovering that gentle hands and kind hearts do exist.

Mavis isn't a fan of other pets, so she's looking for a calm, quiet home where she can be the only furry resident. No dogs, cats, or kids-just someone who understands feline peculiarities and is willing to go at her pace. She needs a cat-savvy human who can read her cues, give her space when she needs it, and know when it's safe to sneak in a little affection.

She does like pets-especially around her head and chin-but it's all on her terms. Let her come to you. Hold out your hand, let her rub on it, then offer a brief pet or two. She's still figuring out what it means to be safe and loved, so overstimulation is something to be mindful of. Treats are a great way to her heart, and a well-timed one might earn you a quick cuddle moment, but what Mavis needs most is someone patient, kind, and willing to meet her where she is.

Meet Flower! 🌺

Flower is a unique colored tortie with white in certain areas. Flower is a very active and friendly kitty who gets along with other cats and loves to play. She always wants to be with her people and know what they are doing. She can be a door darter so it would be best to not have small children unless there is a buffer so she can't get outside from going in and out of the home. She would probably do ok with a cat friendly dog and would love to have another kitty friend. She is sometimes a little talker if she wants to get your attention for something. Flower recently had kittens of her own who are still down south and was a great mom. Now it's her turn to find her forever home.

Have you heard of Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP)? This serious viral disease occurs when the feline coronavirus mutates, causing severe inflammation in the abdomen, kidneys, or brain. Cats can become very sick and deteriorate quickly. While FIP was once considered fatal, new treatments are giving cats a second chance—and FuRRR is proud to have saved 25 cats from FIP!

Moose is a local surrender who came to us when his owner was unable to give him the care he needed.

FuRRR stepped up to help this sweet tabby boy. Moose was underweight, despite having a healthy appetite. He also experienced some pretty bad diarrhea episodes. Nothing he ate stayed in his body for long.

Because of our generous supporters, we are able to provide the medical care that Moose needed. ❤️

We learned that Moose has a condition called Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Moose has been on medication and a special diet. We are happy to report that Moose is on the mend and has gained a few pounds back!

FuRRR is a cage-free rescue, meaning their cats live in communal rooms where they can roam, play, and socialize freely, rather than being confined to cages. This setup helps reduce stress, encourages natural behaviors, and provides a more comfortable environment for rescued cats.

FuRRR has rescued a number of cats who have come from sad situations, where cats have been confined to a small space.

This is Otis. For years, Otis was kept in a cage, without even a proper litterbox.

This is Holly and she directly benefits from your donations! ❤️ Holly arrived at FuRRR with scarring over one of her eyes from a previous illness. Thankfully, it doesn't slow her down one bit! She is a happy, lovable cat!

Recently, volunteers noticed that her eye looked different- somehow worse than before. They were right! Holly visited the vet and they discovered that her eyeball (globe) was shrinking and they were concerned it would rupture.

Holly is receiving medication and will have an Opthalmology appointment
