In case anyone was wondering, Capone decided that he's already home. ;) 🥰 He's settled right into our home, lives, and hearts 💕 ...but, I'm pretty sure anyone who knows me already knew that.
So, yes, another foster fail... but, in my defense... well? Just look at that face. Lol
All things considered, he's doing well. Allergies under control. His hair on his tail & back legs is growing back in.
:) He loves being a shop dog with Kevin & Dylan on the days I work on campus. He's successfully learned he can't chase the cats. 🐈
We're still working on hand signals, since he's mostly deaf. The vibration collar is hit and miss. He responds, but not consistently. He responds better to a loud clap, and treats. We did fence off a good section of our backyard so we don't have to keep him leashed all the time. He sleeps a lot. He's old (about 10?), with weak back legs, and he's tired... but he seems pretty happy. :)
Thank you to Barb Yahn & Brindle Posse Rescue, Inc., for all their help with Capone, and allowing me to foster thru them (even though they knew my track record 😆)...
And shout out to Verona Street Animal Society, who took him in until I found him there.
