Happy birthday to one of the hardest working, most dedicated guys we know! Between juggling not 1, not 2, but 3 jobs he still somehow finds the time and energy to dump some buckets at the end of the day. When he does get some down time you won’t find him on the couch you’ll probably find him out and about with his 2 kids, 2 German Shepherds and 2 goats. We appreciate everything you do more than words can say 🫶 Happy birthday to the facebookless Brennan! 💖

Meet The Staff Monday 👋

Meet Kim Gundersen, a true Tri-Town townie! Originally from Mattapoisett, Kim moved to Rochester about 20 years ago and began riding at Fairfield Farm as a working student when she was just 13 years old. She is a licensed instructor with years of teaching experience and has a true passion for working with children. Kim is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where riders can build confidence and develop their skills. She has even owned and operated her own lesson and boarding program, Equine Journey.
When she’s not at the barn you’ll find Kim caring for her horses Abbey, Pete, Lucy, and Henry along with her dogs Sweet Pea and Petunia. Kim is also a part time school bus driver for Acushnet so if you see her driving around make sure you say hi!

👋Meet the Staff Monday!

Meet Bethany, the barn manager and the woman behind it all! Bethany grew up in Mattapoisett and started riding at 8 years old as a form of physical therapy. From there, her love for horses only grew. In 1992 she graduated Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Business Management and Equine Science. During her time there she decided to switch to riding dressage, a journey that eventually led her to Fairfield Farm. In 1998 she became a MA Licensed Riding Instructor. Bethany is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist and has earned numerous awards from Training Level through FEI Prix St. George. Fairfield is also home to her 2 horses, Bella, a 16 year old Hanoverian and Tigger, an 8 year old Mustang/Holsteiner cross. When she’s not at the barn, Bethany competes in AKC obedience and rally trials with her Siberian Husky, Wynter. Together, they’ve earned many titles including being ranked the #1 Siberian Husky in the country in 2022 for Novice Obedience!

As the new year begins we’re excited to announce that Fairfield Farm is entering a new chapter. The passing of Barbara Ann Archer is a profound loss and we want to honor her dedication, care, and hard work as we strive to carry on the legacy she created. In addition, we are incredibly grateful to announce that the longtime barn manager Bethany Rebello will be continuing in her current role. Bethany shines in giving customized care for each individual rider and horse and we could not make this transition without her! Finally, we are excited that instructor Kim Gundersen will also be staying on to continue her lesson program at the farm. Kim has been riding at Fairfield since 1998 and we admire her dedication and commitment to this farm. As we navigate this transition, we ask for patience and support from the community that we grew up in and have come to love so much🫶
