Yall if you have ever considered breeding rats we will need other breeders on board!!! I can't do this alone!!! With so many breeders shutting their doors I absolutely need to mentor at least 2 new breeders in and I'm not the greatest with this sort of thing as I have a lot of knowledge but I often second guess myself and need a lot of refreshers myself, I myself am still learning so I'm not super excited about this but we have a great team of people we can go to with anything we have questions about! If you are interested please reach out! The best breeders and the ones I've relied on so much for mentoring me are closing their doors and I'm so sad and scared to do this without them honestly but they have taught me so much and I still have the knowledge on how to research myself and groups to go to if I have questions or confusion! So I guess let's just do this lol
This will also require additional costs for my rattery! You can help by leaving stars or sharing my videos and definitely watching them all the way through! I'm currently spending about $100/month on supplies for my rats we go through 4 big bags of bedding and at least 40 pounds of food a month and that's with me picking out pieces of food every cage clean! We will have to travel further to outcross and further to bring in new lines! We currently only have 17 adults and lots of babies who will be open for deposits on Friday! Please expect a boost in prices as we sort through this but getting new breeders on board and getting my videos watched, shared, and stars all will help mitigate some of the financial weight of running my rattery! If you would like to donate food or bedding we use mazuri breeders diet 6F, mazuri ratite diet (emu food is used for litterboxes as it handles the moisture really well), and we use America's choice large flake all natural animal bedding which all can be ordered on chewy. This can also help combat some of the financial weight of running a rattery!
