One of the most rewarding parts of being a dog trainer is witnessing the moments that remind you why you do what you do. 🤍
Today, we welcomed a new reactive dog into our pack who needed a little extra support, patience, and space to feel comfortable. And what made this walk so special wasn’t just watching him progress, but watching everyone around him show up with understanding, compassion, and zero judgment.
Everyone gave him the space he needed, allowed him to move at his own pace, and helped create an environment where he could feel safe enough to work through his discomfort.
By the end of our walk, seeing him calm, relaxed, and able to exist around the pack so much more comfortably was something truly special.
This is what dog training is about. Not expecting every dog to be perfect, not rushing progress, and not giving up on the dogs who need a little more help. It’s about meeting them where they are, advocating for their needs, and celebrating every step forward, no matter how small.
And to my pack walk crew, thank you for being the kind of people who make moments like this possible.
Progress doesn’t always look like perfection. Sometimes, it looks like a dog finally feeling safe enough to just be. ✨
