Check out Anton James in a special wheelchair which helps to pattern his hind limb movement as the wheels roll. The Sophia Dog wheelchair is a unique part of his rehabilitation plan. This sweet boy had back surgery in May due to disc herniation and has not regained neurologic recognition of his hind limbs. He has lots of determination and drive, so we are working on trying to attain spinal walking if possible. Go Anton go!🥰

This summer has been really hot and humid. Did you know that there has been ground-breaking research done at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center confirming the fastest way to decrease core body temperature in an over-heated dog? Absolutely! The project was funded by AKC Canine Health Foundation and they made a cartoon to help get the word out. Believe it or not, teaching a dog to voluntarily dunk their head in water can save their life!
