A huge thank you to all of the Nueces County 4-H clubs, members, and families who donated items for the 2026 Texas 4-H “Hands Helping Heroes” Community Service Project Challenge! 💚

Because of your generosity, we received numerous donations to support first responders right here in our community. Items will be counted and officially logged today before being distributed locally next week.

We appreciate everyone who helped collect, donate, organize, and support this statewide service project. Your efforts are making a difference for the men and women who serve our communities every day.

Nueces County 4-H members — Diamondbacks and Laguna 4-H are teaming up for a great community service project this summer! 🍀🧵🇺🇸

Join them for “Quilt of Valor” on June 13 from 10 AM–2 PM at the Singer Sewing Center Classroom in Corpus Christi as they work to make quilts for veterans.

No sewing experience is needed, and machines will be provided (but you’re welcome to bring your own if you have one). Come and go as your schedule allows.

The goal is to complete 2 quilts, and they would love community support from 4-H members, families, and volunteers!

Nueces County 4-H Awards Applications are now open! 🍀

Applications are now being accepted for the 2025-2026 Nueces County 4-H Awards Program and Awards Banquet. Members are encouraged to review the available awards and apply for any they may qualify for.

Applications are due to the NC4H Office by 5:00 PM on June 1, 2026. Be sure to check your email for award applications, criteria, and additional details.

Reminder — many awards also require a completed record book submitted by the June 1 deadline.

Nueces County 4-H Ambassadors help promote 4-H through community events, service projects, presentations, mentoring new members, and sharing the voice of 4-H youth throughout our community.

Applications are due June 1.

The Nueces County 4-H Record Book Workshop is tonight at 6:00 PM at the District 11 Texas A&M AgriLife Research & Extension Center.

If you’re planning to complete a record book this year, come out and get help, feedback, and answers to your questions before the June 1 deadline!

Texas 4-H Center summer camp registration is open! ☀️🍀

From ropes courses and kayaking to photography, hunting, food challenge, arts & crafts, sports, and leadership opportunities — there’s something for every age and interest at Texas 4-H Camp this summer. Campers get to try new things, meet friends from across the state, and make memories that last long after summer ends.

A few camps with spots available include:
• Mini Camp (Grades 3–8)
• Specialty Camps like Food Challenge, Aperture Academy, Hunting Camp, Refashion, and more
• County Camps I, II & III
• Ag Discovery Camp
• Teen Adventure Camp

Family Fun Day/Open House is May 25 from 10 AM–4 PM and is a great chance to check out the Texas 4-H Center before camp season starts!

You do not have to be a 4-H member to attend.
