Hey y'all Jodi from Styx River Parrot Rescue we're asking for y'alls help. We're in need of small and medium cages with the heavier wire because my birds will bite right thru the thinner bars. Any birds supplies like bird food, food bowls, paper for the bottom of their cages ect would be greatly appreciated. We can give you a donation receipt for your taxes for these donations. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

Hey y'all TJ and I were just on Fox studio 10 to talk about the upcoming Gulf Coast Renaissance Fair with Joe Emmer the first 3 weekends of Nov. and what our part is.
We brought with us Ducky(green Eclectus) and our newest bird Nikki (Yellow Nape Amazon)
It was so funny Tj mentioned about how affectionate these birds are and without being told Ducky leans his head over against my cheek then proceeds to start grabbing my lip to give me kisses. It was so funny and cute and right at the exact moment Tj
mentioned about affection. So check it out! I made some goof ups which Ducky chuckled about it.
We hope to see y'all there

Hey y'all we received Luna an umbrella cockatoo about 10 weeks ago and within those 10 weeks she's had 4 surgeries to correct a prolapse. Well we were told by our vet if it didn't take this time that he wanted to send her to a veterinarian specialist in Louisiana and it would probably be expensive or we might have to consider possibly putting her down if it continues to pop out. All its starting to pop out again. We've followed all his instructions but he's thinking muscle memory is working against us because she had a chronic condition before we got her. I don't want to put her down she's one of the sweetest birds you'll ever meet and loves SpongeBob and sings it lol. She absolutely loves everyone and goes to anyone. Tj and I have been funding this rescue out of our own pockets and all the veterinarian bills also. So we could really use some help raising the money to get her there as soon as possible. It would also help if y'all could share this for us to. I love Luna and I've become very attached to her and it breaks my heart to see her go thru all this. We would be forever thankful for any help given. Thanks y'all we greatly appreciate it.

Hey y'all since I had back surgery I'm not allowed to do pretty much anything for 3 months or more depending. We have a bunch of events coming up including the Havana nights salsa festival tomorrow and the pumpkin festival at Gary's Brewery and Biergarten next weekend. If anyone could help volunteer and help us with these events ,(setup, help take care of the birds while we're there, talk to people that come and help get our mission out about what we're about and what we're doing) we could really use the help. Give Jodi a call or text me at 251-224-2951. Thanks y'all we greatly appreciate it.
